Has potential but greens and fairways not maintained
Greens are pock marked and unplayable.
Fairways have leaves everywhere.
With a little extra TLC this could be a good course
Goat track
The layout of this course is the only slightly positive thing. The maintenance is nonexistent. Greens are legit the worst I have seen in years. There is mud and leaves everywhere. They must have forgotten about the golf when they pumped all that Jimmy Buffett money into the resort. It’s not worth playing for any price.
Nice layout but conditions a bit on the rough side.
The layout makes the course fun to play. However, the fairways where covered in leaves and pine needles. In was December so I'll give them that, but no maintenance had been done whatsoever to remove debris from the fairways or greens. The coverage was pretty thin as well so we played pick, clean and place all day.
Fall golf in Conroe
This was our first time playing at Margaritaville. We enjoyed the course and are looking forward to playing again in the Spring.
Greens
Improved from start of year
Work in progress
More time no more freeze
Challenging layout
Front nine is narrow and unforgiving. Back nine let’s you have fun. Course is in the winter condition with leaves and wet fairways. Hard to maintain in these conditions.
The staff is unbelievably friendly. And it doesn’t matter who’s there. Truly a great experience. Too bad the front nine is not as friendly.
Joke on the side I would recommend this golf course to all my friends.
Keep up the great job.
Thx
1st Experience
One of the staff members was extremely rude. I was at the tee box getting ready to tee of and he comes storming down yelling that I could not play alone and that I needed to be paired with another 3-some.he was disrespectful and agressive. I kept my cool and informed him that I had already spoke to the staff member that checked me in that needed to play alone. I had just received news that I lost a dear friend and I needed to be by myself. Nevertheless I will not be coming back and would most certainly not recommend this course.
Great Course
I have played this course several times in the past 6 months. It has recovered well from the Feb freeze. The greens are in great shape. A few spots here and there but overall great condition The course lay out is challenging with just enough water and sand traps. I will continue to play this course and Highly Recommend it
This course ate my lunch!
Best shape the course has been in since the freeze. Narrow fairways drive me crazy but challenging is good sometimes, right? Love the new golf carts!
fun vacation round of golf
I had fun playing Margaritaville Resort Golf Course. It was fun to see the Range markers that were flip flops and all the tee markers were shark fins remaining true to the Margaritaville branding.
I had some difficulty finding hole #3. It required crossing a roadway and driving up an small unmarked alley way.
The course played really difficult (my handicap is 30 so pretty much all courses are difficult). But this one especially so.
It was hot but there were plenty of water stations throughout the course and the restroom I visited was clean and well maintained.
The only thing negative I have to say about the course was the lack of direction for hole #3.
Good from far, far from good
As you drive into the Margaritaville grounds and see some of the holes, the course looks good. You get on the course and realize it’s a dumpster fire. Sand traps full of water, muddy mower tracks on the course, dead spots on the greens, and a cart path full of uneven concrete segments, mud, and water. I’m pretty sure this course has drainage issues as well as everything is always soggy and slow to dry. Plan to lose some balls if you play here as well since the first cut on most of the course is a jungle.
