About Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Community
On the Texas coast, Palmilla Beach Resort & Golf Club in Port Aransas features a rare links golf course in the United States. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer, the course was later shorted to a nine-hole course under 2,500 yards and a three-hole short golf course called the "Loop: as part of the resort's commitment to a family-friendly and relaxed lifestyle. The resort is a residential development that uses Turnkey for its vacation rental properties. Homeowners and guests through the resort have access to a concierge, beach and pool access. There are several bars and restaurants onsite highlighted by the Black Marlin. Port Aransas is located south of Houston near Corpus Christi.Facts

Fun oceanside course
Not a ton of ocean views, but you know you are seaside. Variable breezes make club and line selection challenging. You'll probably have to play more than once to play it well, but it's fun every time. Course conditions are great tee to green. Consider a forward tee - the wind and green complexes are challenging enough, and driver is not always the best play. Can't wait to play it again.
Great course
Course plays long. We played blue tees which is a challenge to average length hitters. It demands long and straight off the tee but is rewarding to make par on this course.
Mosquito City
Course if pretty good for the $$$. However, make sure range is open because it is a challenge, especially if you don't get a good warm up. Also, make sure to bring plenty of bug spray.
Great Customer Service
The staff was friendly from the moment we stepped out of our car. My fiancé came with me and they were more than helpful letting her ride along without an additional charge. Exceptional! Will be back!
Seniors play gold
Great golf course. I played from the gold tees and it was much more enjoyable as I had tried the whites and for a twenty handicapper it was too challenging. The staff and.ground crews were very nice and accommodating. I like to play by myself and only was paired with someone else one time out of seven for the whole week we were there.l will definitely be going back. Beautiful greens and aprons.
green fairways, fast greens, what more could you ask for?
Friendly staff, good pace and the course is in very good condition.
Beach course
Fantastic course !! Great course layout and course conditions . True beach style course .
Great Course
I was able to book this course through a golf now deal for $30, simply put there is no better value. Highly recommend this course for anyone, while a difficult test the course condition and setting make it a memorable event.
Extremly hot in between the dunes
Played with hot deal arrangement. Otherwise no value for your money.
Course is in between the dunes.
The lay out is very close to a course in Scotland/Ireland.
Lay out is very narrow, rough is everywhere, take enough balls with you.
Great course
Great course. Especially when using a hot deal. There were a few spots on the fairways but for the most part it was in excellent condition. Greens were very consistent. The price is kinda steep for twighlight but if you can get a Hot Deal, it's well worth it. The driving range is very nice and staff is very accomodating. They even have towels in ice chests to cool you off at certain holes. Perfect for an August day.
Could. Be Better
Fairways were rough. Greens were good. Sand not raked. It's been better in the past.
Links golf on steroids
I have played a few links style courses and this one must be on steroids! Being in July, it was obviously quite warm. I am from just north of Galveston so I am used to the heat / humidity. There was a nice breeze which really adds to the excitement to the course. I really like the greens and fairways - the grass is like Moody Gardens in Galveston which is tolerant to salt water. There were a few spots on the fairways where the mowers must have cut it a little too close.
very nice course and right in port A
Greens were great. A few fairways needed repair which was being done while we were there. Will definitely play here again.
The course is in excellent condition
Beautiful golf course. If your looking for a challenging course this is the one for you. My two sons and I had a blast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning to play again.
Excellent Course
This course was VERY enjoyable to play. The greens were in great condition. The fairways were a bit tight and quite challenging. It's tough to beat the setting with the ocean in the background. I assumed this would be a great course and it still exceeded my expectations. Incredible value. I look forward to playing again soon.
Nice golf course.
Very nice well maintained golf course. Links type by the ocean like Saint Andrews golf course in Scotland. Plays very similar with the wind.
Cool coastal golf on Texas Gulf Coast
Truly one of the most unique golf courses in Texas, Palmilla Beach provides a taste of links golf right next to the Gulf of Mexico, complete with salt air, sea breezes and the challenge that comes with having to battle the prevailing winds. Though certainly not a true links course, it requires a different sort of golf. Run-up shots are an option when the course is dry, but pot bunkers loom as does natural dune vegetation. Couple that with a terrific restaurant and summer entertainment options, and you've got a nice spring-summer destination.
Amazing fairways
Make sure you stay on the fairway with all of your shots, if you don't you'll never find your ball.
Very scenic, narrow and unforgiving
Course has a couple holes on the ocean and is in really great shape. Has a number of blind landing zones from the tee into narrow fairways with a ocean breeze to deal with.
Just Ok!
When I played course was kinda beaten up. Was told the area had been getting a lot of rain. Played better courses for far less green fees. It was just OK.
