About Sonesta Bee Cave
The Sonesta Bee Cave is located 20 minutes west off Austin off Highway 71 in the Hill Country Galleria, home to a collection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is no golf course onsite but there is shuttle service to the nearby Lakeway golf courses, including public Falconhead Golf Club, and the hotel does have some limited access to the private courses at the Clubs of Lakeway. The Sonesta Bee Cave features a large, outdoor courtyard pool, 10,000 square feet of meeting space and a 5,300 square foot ballroom. Lake Travis is minutes away where a marina can be accessed, and world-famous Hamilton Pool is also a short drive away. A highlight of the Sonesta Bee Cave is not only the galleria shops and restaurants but the hotel's own rooftop Meridian 98, which features cocktails and specialty plates in a lively setting that hosts live music.Facts

Nice course!
Played it twice course is scenic and fun to play. It’s a little tough and some greens need work but overall you won’t be disappointed. Staff is great!!
Expect to play a 4.5 hr round.

Phenomenal course - would go back

Terrible Day - 5+ hour round
Five hours and twenty minutes in 105 degrees with Rangers that tell you there is nothing they can do. WHAT? That is exactly you job, to make sure a 10:30 tee time does not have a 10 min wait on every hole.
Tee boxes were terrible, hard to find grass on many. Greens were good shape, fairways for the most part were good, but did have quite a few barren areas.
For $100 per round you would think they would take better care of the course and have Rangers that actually know the job description

@Falconhead Golf Club - My suggestions are to pay closer attention to where the tee markers are placed on the tees. Looked like they were hardly ever moved and if they were moved, only moved a few feet. Meant there were quite a few tee boxes that were torn up where the markers were, but the rest of the tee looked good. Also, pace of play was really slow. Would suggest marshalls do a better job of keeping groups within a hole of the group ahead. Those two things would have given it a 5 star review.

Beautiful, not an easy course. Staff was very friendly, water jugs were full and were available throughout course. Will def head back out here before year is over

Great Hill Country style golf course!
Course was challenging enough for more experienced golfers and easy enough for average golfers. The greens were in great shape, but tricky due to the hill side shape of some of them. Still, the greens were fun to navigate once you got a good feel for the speed. I will definitely return. The staff is super friendly and very accomodating.

Although summer is here and temps are up, this course was in great condition! Greens fast but fair. Layout is beautiful and hole 8 is a gem!
