Communication
Wild Rock is one of my favorite courses in WI. When I paid for my foursome w/ preseason passes, the attendant made no mention that there were cart path only restrictions. I’m 63 and heavy w/ a bad hip. I would have considered canceling the tee-time. I estimate that I walked 4-5 miles during the round. The course got probably 2-3” of rain during the week so it’s understandable the carts might be restricted. Frankly, it probably should have been closed given how much water splashed up while walking in the fairways. In the past, I was told the sprinklers were turned on EVERY night regardless of rain activity. It’s a shame if they still practice that maintenance as the course is NEVER firm and fast.
Beautiful layout. Staff was standoffish unorganized and seemed annoyed when asked questions. 5+ hour pace of play with no course Marshall unexceptionable for a course who promotes the type of experience wild rock does.
Great bar and food
Course layout is great and fun to play. Greens were a little beat up though in August likely due to heavy traffic. Sand quality was OK sand was a little coarse. Will play there again.
Great course
My son and I play this 2/3 times a month and it's well worth it nice driving range and putting green. Everything is always well kept and friendly staff
Great course and fun!!
This course was recommended by a friend and she could not have given us a better recommendation. Visiting from Arizona and first time playing on dewy grass as opposed to the desert. All in all it was fun change of golf for us Arizonians and would love to play it again if in the area!!
Favorite Vacation Course
This course has tons to offer. Facility and staff were amazing, food at the course was great, and having 2 courses gives you plenty of opportunities to play. Main course has great views with lots of wildlife at all hours of the day. Well worth traveling to!
Favorite Wisconsin course
For the money can’t beat this course for condition, scenery, challenge, and accommodating staff.
Not Very Senior Friendly
Group behind us split from a foursome into two twosomes and tee’d off early making our group with a senior player feel rushed. One course attendant came around and told us to keep on them after letting them play through. For a Sunday morning it was a very pressured round of golf being hit very close to twice.
Great Experience
This was my first trip to Wild Rock and had been looking forward to it for a while. I was not disappointed, the staff was friendly and helpful….and the course was spectacular!
Amazing Setting
Great course! Scenic views of the Baraboo hills. Have had deer come across the fairway every time I’ve golfed here. Challenging greens, but numerous forgiving wide fairways
5:30+ round
Nice course but would never go back, made the turn in 2:30 and back 9 took over 3 hrs, unacceptable. Not worth the aggravation.
