Absolutely pathetic. Terrible golfers with no Marshall one guy not even wearing a shirt. Big gaps in space.
Will never be back. Don’t care if it was free.
Only with a coupon
First time playing this course, staff was friendly, the course was pretty deserted when I was out there. The price for this course is outrageous, it’s a 50$ course at best. If you can get a deal like I did on golf now for 50-60$ by all means, but full price for this place is a joke.
I will be back
I got an amazing deal on Golfnow for $62.
Not worth $175.
The course leaves a little to be desired.
The staff are EXCELLENT! Extremely friendly and accommodating. I am so glad that I got a great Golfnow deal because the course was not in the condition that warrants a $225 greens fee. I was really disappointed with the condition of the course based on my expectations.
Unplayable bunkers
Sand hard as a rock. Good thing clubs were rentals. We would never hit a ball out those bunkers with our own clubs.
Ok if you can get a deal on price
The course has a quirky layout with many holes converging together. There is an extra long route between 10 and 11 and again from 16 to 17. Played from the blues challenging enough especially if the wind picks up. Fairways and greens were fair - some better than others. Course just feels a little tired. With some attention to waste areas and the greens it could look really good again. Played it on a Hot Deal so I thought the value was good, but if I had the pay full price or close to I think I would have been disappointed.
Ideal for high handicappers.
Luckily I got a deal on golf now. No way would I pay the full amount.
Course is ok and being a high handicappers the wide fareways suited me.
Just a bit flat and a bit samey.
Rental clubs were ok a bit battered.
Golf cart and club guy was got.
As a solo player I got put with two German guys who were very accommodating.
Worst thing was there was a group of six Americans going round in one group which would never be allowed in the UK. They were so loud playing music and constantly shouting even when they were near us and when we were putting. Needed a marshall.
Sandwich cart caught up with us on the 17th hole.
If you play here get a deal on golf now
Wide fairways,
Grit in the bunkers,
Small fast greens
Cow pasture
Very disappointed. Looked like a poorly run local public course. No starter, not clear on directions to holes. Not maintained well, sand traps were made of rocks and debris. Tee boxes were best part of the course. Fairways were fair. Greens were in need of attention. Snack bar was a joke. Sandwich consisted of 2 slices of white bread, 1 slice of processed cheese, one slice of ham. I would not play this course again and feel I spent way too much to play there
Punta Blanca Golf
Played here because I was staying at adjacent Bahia Principe resort. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Layout is just fair (sorry Sir Nick) and condition should also be considered as fair. No GPS (forgot to bring my GPS watch) but you can pretty much see where you're headed on each hole. Not much water but some forced carries over unkept areas. Greens were pretty true, not fast and many have burnt out or diseased areas. Callaway Mavrik rental clubs were fine but didn't include gap or approach wedges. Overall a decent choice for fast play, reasonable greens fees and proximity to the resort.
La ponta blanca
The course was in terrible shape for the money. It’s not worth the 170 us. It was a rip off. The greens was chopped up, the fairway was terrible. You could get any snacks until the 9th hole.
It’s not a top 10 and I wouldn’t play it again.
A great course for everyone
Punta Blanca is a very challenging course. It’s long even from the forward (white) tee. The greens are small but receptive. Its fairways are generous. The course is well kept.
Great golf and value
Excellent course a staff. Some of the bunkers aren’t playable though fewer than in past years. Found it just minor inconvenience. Best value in Punta Cana.
A friendly yet excellent golf course
We arrived after a heavy downpour. The staff did an excellent job pumping the bunkers off water. We were able to tee off after one hour of delay. First time to play The course and we were impressed by its playability. The course played long even from the white tees. The free sandwich at the turn helped a lot (cooler is filled with ice and 4 bottled water). The staff starting from the pro shop, the starter, restaurant and up to the maintenance were all very helpful and accommodating.
This course will be first in our list next time we visit Punta Cana. I highly recommend this course.
Nice Track
Nice greens, course conditions great. Tee box’s were superb.
Beautiful course with immaculate greens
The course is very long but has wide fairways to bomb your driver without too much risk. However, missed fairways equal lost balls. Greens are near perfect...large landing area, not too fast or slow, breaks like you expect and receive your approach shots without running out. The rough is rough but somewhat playable. Not much water in play. Plenty or room to avoid bunkers (fairway and greenside) but expect to find a few of the playable wastebunkers because they're on nearly every hole. Had the course to ourselves so pace was perfect.
