For peak season value, save green on these affordable Phoenix-Scottsdale golf courses

Phoenix-Scottsdale may be the most expensive peak-season destination in the U.S. But at the same times, there are 200-plus courses to choose from, so there are surely going to be some great bargains out there.

Generally speaking, courses in the south and west valley will reward golfers who make the drive away from the Scottsdale-Paradise Valley golfing epicenter. But there are still some good values in and around Scottsdale and Cave Creek, Ariz.

If you're headed to Scottsdale for golf this spring and looking to save some cash but still play a great round, give one or more of these courses a try.
