Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort

About Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort
Located in a popular tourist corridor in Mexico and nestled along one of the area’s only swimmable beaches, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort offers a variety of activities and experiences that live up to the area’s nickname as “The Coast of Inspiration.” When guests step out of their rooms or suites, each with a private balcony overlooking either the garden or the ocean, they can enjoy surfing, snorkeling, sailing, paddleboarding and whale watching, or simply relax by one of the pools. The Enclave Beach Club sits on one of Cabo’s only cove-protected beaches and features a boardwalk, loungers with umbrellas and a waterfront bar serving craft cocktails and food. Guests can also cozy up by a private beach bonfire and make s’mores or reserve a private cabana to relax with clear ocean views. During certain times of the year, guests might even witness turtles hatching on the beach. For wellness, the resort offers services at the eforea spa as well as pickleball courts, tennis courts, sound healing, spinning, yoga and, of course, golf. Cabo Real Golf Club sits right across the street on higher ground during much of the round before descending to the beach. All these activities are sure to work up an appetite for specially curated menus and seasonal food and wine events that re-imagine classic Mexican dishes.Facts

The front nine is in a very bad shape
They are doing some heavy work on the front nine (French drains, etc.) so it does not worth the money right now.
Front nine closed
Played here many times and love the course. However!! Some mention of the front nine being closed for irrigation work would have been nice! After the turn, play became very slow . We returned to the clubhouse after 15 holes. A little while later a wedding party playing a 12some showed up on 18.
Very poor course management on this day.
Only 9 holes open!
The course layout is very challenging. Conditions were generally good but we had to play the back 9 twice. Nothing online indicated that front nine was closed while a new irrusystem is being installed! They plan to replace the irrigation system on the back 9 starting ion mid/late November. I generally like the course but would not come back until the end purse is open and has recovered from all the construction.
Disappointed
Very disappointed. Half of the course was under construction and we were never advised. Total ripoff! Would like to be reimbursed. Going to fight this with our credit card company
Course was in a horrible condition. It was not even grass on the tee boxes.
DON'T DO IT!!! REMODEL IN PROGRESS!!
They have 9 holes closed!! The other 9 are okay, but conditions aren't great. They allow you to play back 9 twice. They also don't mention it on GolfNow booking notes nor when you check in. We literally found out on the first tee box. What a joke. Don't play for a long time. Renovations not completed until late November. Fairways on open 9 being aerated.
WAIT!
Course only has back 9 open until mid-November. The course, nor GOLFNOW, will inform you until you're in your cart. Shame as I would've booked elsewhere. DON'T BOTHER.
Wrong Time of Year
I’ve played this amazing course twice and loved it. I wish we would have known that we had to play the back 9 only before we made reservations and drive out there Very hot and course was very dry. We should have paid Half of what we paid under those circumstances
Front 9 closed
This course had potential to be nice. But they were renovating the front nine so confined everybody to the back nine only. I understand this is necessary at times but they did not disclose this until after we had checked in for our round. Nothing on the website and golf now said nothing about this either when I booked, which really bothered me because had I known I would have chosen a different course to play. Also it looked like because they are probably planning on renovating the back nine next they were not giving it the care it needed. Many greens had large spots that were dead or dying, fairways didn’t seem to be getting the water needed. On top of everything because we were confined to playing the back nine twice the course played exceptionally slow. Overall a poor experience for such a pricey course.
Under repair
The front nine was closed and we had to play back nine twice. Also 10th hole fairway was under repair and was basically a dirt field. Did not find out until we checked in.
Only 9 holes open
Until Oct 31 front 9 is closed. Didn’t know that when booking on GoldNow.
Beware
Course is only using the back 9 until Oct 31, 2023. We did not know this until an hour before our tee time. Some challenging holes with good views of the water. They are apparently on reduced rates. We utilized a Hot Deal and got a rate $45 under normal price.
Cabo real
Front nine is closed and golf now did not not reveal this . I still paid a lot and could only play back nine. Was fine at first but then course was backed up . Play was slow and would not recommend playing here now. Course is nice when fully open and it’s good they are taking care of it but, wouldn’t have paid what I did if I knew that! I should be entitled to half of my $$$ back ! See ya in about 6 months Cabo real!
Booked tee time on golf now and when i arrived to pro shop to check in for my round i was told only the back 9 is available for play so i had to play the back 9 twice to play 18 holes the gentleman in the pro shop stated that i was supposed to be notified when i was booking that it was only the back 9 that was available
So Bad
Hate to say it but I likely wouldn’t never play this course again. We played it three years ago and it was a fun, challenging track with great views of the ocean. At that time it was in great shape. Unfortunately this time they only had the back nine open (no warning on golf now nor when we called to ask if there was a range to warmup). The fairways and most of the course was burnt out and really dry which did not allow for your ball to sit in fairways even when you hit them and the greens were ungroomed to the point where you had to almost chip your putts in. Had a hot deal but still spent about $150 for one of the worst rounds of golf ever. Good thing I had a great foursome with me. Then they had the audacity to offer a “free” round if we sat through a timeshare prez, no thanks! So disappointed and not sure if I’d ever pay for a questro round ever again.
Terrible course
Awful conditions. I went here on family vacation and booked this online not knowing only the back 9 was open. Also, the sprinklers were broken, course had dead grass everywhere. I will not be golfing here again.
Unusual course conditions
Went to Cabo Real and found that only 9 holes were open and the other nine had airiation on the green with a high cut. I was informed by the Pro shop that it was GN's responsibility to inform me of this when i booked the time, but that was not done. I try to play here every year at the same time and actually love the course and people. Just extremely disappointed with the conditions this time around. My guidance from this point forward is do not trust GN, call the course first.
