Good Enough, Bring Rangefinder
Round was a decent value, convenient location to mid hotel zone and we were well taken care of...I literally couldn't finish a beer because the staff kept replacing my open ones with fresh coldies so that was awesome. Front was noticeably nicer looking than the back, definitely seemed like it was groomed more because it was visible to the public, but overall the course in general was in good shape. Biggest complaint is that there were very few distance markers/ marked sprinkler heads, bring a range finder if you have one...iGolf didn't have the course so my GPS watch was no bueno there. I did see a few crocs out on the course, so thats a real thing to be cautious of, I wouldn't go chasing lost balls in rough/ OB, saw a pretty decent sized one sunning on the side of the 18th green and another one behind a fence right next to a tee box (can't recall #). There was no one on the course, we played a 3ish hour round. Rental clubs ok, nothing special (Ping G20s), decent shape although both of our putters need regripping badly. Would play there again, it was a good deal overall, but would likely play elsewhere simply just to play something different if we go back to Cancun.
Iberostar Cancun
Course was excellent condition. Staff was great! Bring extra balls course is a little narrow. Do not worry about the crocks saw one in 18 holes.
Great service
Didn't see any crocs but plenty of iguanas. Staff was excellent going from all inclusive golf, food & drinks. Kinda hot @ this time of year.
It's a fun course
Can't wait till next year to playe it again
Too much money for what you get...::
Only 30 range balls, rental sticks were worn out-cart person was hiding most of the time. For the a very bad value......
Hotel zone golf
Ok course. Played 27 holes. when I completed the round I asked the cart man for a ride to bus stop.He said he did not have time. not friendly for resort.
Excellent
Very friendly, enjoyable, challenging. Wind is tough. Great experience
Great course
Watch out for the crocs.
There are a few holes that real smell bad.
I think there is sewage treatment nearby.
The course plays really well and the starter does his best to start you on hole with no players in front of you.
Great experience
It was a great golf course with a good value. The staff was friendly. The food and beverage as part of the green fee was a good value. The scenery adds a beautiful backdrop to an already wonderful vacation experience. Also, there is a lot of interesting wildlife, including alligators and beautiful birds.
Over priced for what you get
I know there's few courses in the area...but paying $150+ for a course that's worse than the local muni is frustrating.
Resort golf
Crocodiles on the course! Cart paths are close to the water. I was watchful and still one surfaced 10 feet from me when I stopped at the tee box. It also rained while I played and they drove out and delivered to bath towels to each player! Finally, your green fees include food and drinks while you play and they bring it out to you!
No magic
The course is ok but the staff no respect. The cost is way to much for the quality of the course. Resident have more respect than the tourist and we pay 5 time the price. But it is in the central of Cancun hotel zone. More than 5 hour game. To much beginner player.
Great shape, friendly staff
I played on July 27th, early morning. Very few players out so I was sent out as a single. Fairways were in great shape, front nine and 17 & 18 green were great as well. They had just sanded greens 11-16 which made them a little slower but still smooth. My Garmin recognized this as Hilton Cancun golf course and although they had some Big Break merchandise there it was the Iberostar course at Rivera Maya that they played on. Late afternoon the rates go down and you can play unlimited so if I were to go agin I would go then.
Good golf course
Fairways are in good condition the greens could do with a bit more attention very slow watering and cutting would help how ever had a good round of golf would play again
Fun Course in the Hotel Zone
The course is very convenient if you're staying in the Cancun hotel zone.
It is in pretty good shape (brown spots on fairways). However, the greens are excellent, running very true.
I enjoyed the all-inclusive part, free (prepaid anyway) lunch and drinks (beer, water & soft drinks) on the course.
Great condition
The course was in great condition, greens were smooth, fairways well maintained. The course is a bit pricey but I got a great deal. If I visit Cancun for leisure I will definitely play here again, just not for full price.
Decent course but over priced
Iberostar is a nice course, but somewhat over priced. The value is, is that it's all-inclusive...all the food and drink is included, which is nice. Location is convenient (hotel zone) and its a decent, player-friendly track. Greens roll nice and course is in good shape over-all. Staff is very friendly. Most of the other courses are farther away and cost even more.
Watch out for the Crocs!
Extremely friendly staff and one heck of a course! Watch out for the Crocodiles!
Wonderfull View!
Great course! Many crocodiles! In the hotel zone. Only thing ; for the same price or better, there is other better course at Cancun.
Excellent course, superb staff
This is a high class golf course. The course itself is in excellent condition, and the staff are obviously very well trained. Staff were super friendly without being overbearing. It was an easy taxi ride ($12) from Secrets the Vine to the course. We're planning on going back later this week.
