Liked the course a lot except for the greens. The greens are super super slow.
It is worth playing for the $145 price from Golf Now but not worth it for the listed price of around $325. It’s a good test for tee to green but once you reach the green you might as well pick your ball up and estimate how many putts it would take on a normal course. Staff is great and I enjoyed the course layout. It would be nice to have GPS on the carts. I will play it again because it’s super convenient for where we stay and the value is good for this area.
Disappointed
Spent all week trying to decide who was going to golf and where.
When I flipped to answer a text, then back to Golf Now, the site unknowingly flipped back to the same day I was booking.
So when I booked, it booked one day early.
So, of course, we went to check in the next day only to find that we had missed our tee times by a day.
When I showed the employee our booking on Golf Now, she kept saying ‘oh, that’s way too cheap’. Like the hot deal we booked was not permitted.
When I asked management about moving the tee times and payment to that day, he said ‘if you buy a movie ticket and don’t show up, you lose your money’.
When I asked how many people were on the course, they said none. We didn’t take anyone’s tee times! If we had booked and taken tee times, I could see keeping our kineu. But there was no one else on the course.
I lost $1200 for the 8 people I booked and also had to pay another $90 on top of that to get on the course. Disappointed in Higuera.
Fun day
The golf course has really improved since the first time I played it 5 or six years ago. I’ve played it several times now and I still enjoy it.
Almost great
I really enjoyed the course and the atmosphere. My only complaint is how the starter sent out the groups. He had me play as a single behind a threesome that was behind a twosome that was behind a foursome playing 4 different tee boxes. This created a massive log jam where people waited for every shot. However I would 100% go back because a long day on a beautiful golf course doesn’t suck. Go play it and see what you think.
was told that we could buy Zero beer at 3,13 and cart service. No zero beer at either 3 or 13 and did not see the cart for beer service once. Same price s other courses in Nuevo and not even close to the same course condition. Rough was very brown and hard. sand bunkers had poior quality sand in some nice quality in others. No GPS on carts no signage to show layout of each fairway. Yardage signs are not on every fairway inconsistent placement.Cab service home was 30 minute wait and 3 times the price of our trip to arrive at Higuera. Will not return el Tigre, Vista Vallarta are MUCH nicer coures for same cost and cheaper cab ride. Will not recommend
Course was in a very dry conditions. The grass on the greens was long so your putts were very bumpy. Not worth the money for the quality of the course.
not going back.

Bad Conditions hand expensive
I was played this Course for 3 times, some years ago and was perfect, but change the owner and know is terrible: expensive, bad conditions in the fairways, terrible service of food. only the greens are ok.
Rough shape
Greens were bumpy, fairways patchy, nice layout but not worth what they are charging.
Little disappointed that your booking quoted $140.00 but the course charged in pesos an amount that amounted to $162.
Lastly your review process is way too long
Super fun course. Vacation golf like you want it!
Higuera is arguably the 3rd or 4th best course in the Puerto Vallarta area. While the layout is interesting, some holes are a bit bland and lack challenge, the overall experience is fantastic! What it lacks in top tier golf course architecture, it more than makes up for in fun factor! Few oceanside holes, 2 comfort stations where made for you tacos, beers, refreshments, snacks, tequila & mezcal are all included in the price. The 19th hole is a really cool hang spot, the range and staff and overall quality of hospitality are all top notch. You can find a better golf course to play golfer's golf at in PV, but you can't find a more fun place to play with your buddies and enjoy a day in the sun on a really nicely done course. Note, this course has new ownership and they've done an outstanding job rehabbing what was a kinda scrubby course before the took over.
Fun but not if you pay full price.
Great layout and beautiful views. Do your best to get a golfnow special. The cost to play is way over priced if you dont.
One of a kind for this area
Best condition it has been in many years. Excellent fairways and lush but slow greens on the day we played. That takes a bit of getting used to. No waste of water on areas off fairways, so they are dry and yellow. Good idea to stay on fairways😀🙏
Buen campo, pero no hace justicia el precio.
El campo es bueno pero me parece que el staff podria ser mas amable y el precio debería incluir más que solo dos mini tacos y dos cervezas
Great course
We loved everything about the course. The staff were great. The course layout is pretty solid. The greens were terrific. A bit pricey, but that’s Mexico Mexico would do well to lower their price and most of their courses they will attract more players. As it is now, there’s a lot of open teetimes nobody’s playing. Nobody wants to pay the price. Too pricey.
