The ocean nine might be the most scenic of the three loops at Palmilla. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/12/2014
Decent Course
The course was in pretty good shape and not a bad place to play. Pretty easy course and good for a group with people that don't play often. It would be a 4-star course but for the lack of customer service and amenities is really what sets this course apart from its peers in Cabo. When we teed off, we were told there was a cart girl going around so didn't need to grab drinks before. We played the front 9 and no sight of the cart girl. At the turn, she was just hanging out at the clubhouse. We stopped at the walk-up bar for drinks but the starter came over rudely yelling (literally yelling) that we couldn't stop at the turn and forced us to play on (even though the group behind us was still teeing off on 9 - and, turns out, no one was behind us on the back 9 at any point). We finally got our first cocktails on hole 15 when the cart girl showed up. Definitely not expected when playing a course at a vacation destination (plus we were on a bachelor party so that's even less ideal). Most of the other Cabo courses have much better service for the same price. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you can find availability (Cabo Real, Cabo del Sol, etc.)
Great staff but so so golf course
My friends and I were expecting a first class experience at Palmilla. We were in Cabo about a year and a half ago and they were rebuilding the Ocean side course. The layout was ok but the bunkers were full of sand with pebbles like the rough areas had. We each damaged our wedges playing out of these green side bunkers. The Arroyo nine was much better layout but with the same bunker sand. For the money we expected better.
Great course
Pamilla is one of best courses in the Cabo area. Greens are immaculate and the fairways well maintained. Beautiful views from every hole.

This course was amazing! Every hole was picturesque and the views did not disappoint. Only complaint I had was the cart girl was not around enough. Other than that, definitely worth it.
Very easy to book. Check in was smooth. Pace of play was excellent. Good job golf pass.
Disappointed
I played the twilight to get a better rate and they were nice enough to let me start early when a spot was available. The course is hard with many elevation changes and some challenging tee shots from the back tees. Overall, I thought the course was not in very good shape and not worth the price I paid. It is also pretty disappointing when a course this well known and expensive doesn't have any GPS which would really help navigating the course layout. 3 9 hole loops available. I played mountain & arroyo.
Palmilla golf
Nice course. The Ocean 9 are fiendishly difficult. The golf carts could use upgrading.
The staff was the best!
Definitely one of my favourite courses. The staff was very accommodating. We did not get to play The Ocean course so they took us for a tour to view the third hole. This is the signature hole. It was amazing. The food at the halfway was great. And the margaritas were even better
Beautiful
Very nice course. A little bit pricey but it is in Cabo. Nice rental Clubs. 2 year old Callaway Rogue irons and Epic woods. Beer was cold!
Expected more
Check in took 30 minutes. Good thing we arrive 1 hour before our tee time. For the price thought it would have been a little fancier. Overall it was good but was expecting great.
