Although they are plentiful around the greens, they move away. Photo submitted by Marksquickgolf on 10/21/2016

No cart, no balls on practice range
Couldn’t believe how confusing it was to finally get to the range. We had to drive forever in a trolly from the pro shop to the range. Once we finally got there, no balls available to warm up and no carts.
The bright spot was our caddie, Jonathan. A real pro and great guy.
We won’t be back.
Your average golf course in a housing development
El Tigre has improved it’s course condition since I last played it, but still has some work to do on greens, fairways and tee boxes. The sand traps were excellent (best to stay out of them)
There is lots of water, but shouldn’t affect your play.
The course is expensive for what you get. Of the 4 courses we played in PV, we would rank this as fourth
El Tigre Golf Course
It is a great golf course, not too difficult and a good layout. The speed of play is always very good. Their price is too expensive but golf now price of $79 US is reasonable.
Favorite Course in Puerta Vallarta
To be fair, I only played at Flamingos, Marina Vallarta, and El Tigre. If you are undecisive I would recommend El Tigre as the best course in the area.
Check in process was smooth. Your round includes unlimited range balls and best driving range in the area.
Cart comes with water bottles in cooler.
The course was very nicely laid out. Conditions could be improved especially on the greens.
The rental clubs are a bit outdated compared to the other golf courses mentioned.
Overall 4/5 as improvements can be made.
Great Course for all skill levels
Always a must play for myself and my wife. She loves this course and always plays well. Different tees for different levels, pick the right one and don’t worry there is plenty of yardage as the wind is always a factor. Staff is great, the drink cart seems to be available just when you need it, and the ranger has water and ice as well. Course was in good shape and the greens were putting very true.
Will play again next time in PV.
Had a great time. Beautiful course. Hope to return soon.
El Tigre
Really enjoyed playing at the course. The staff were excellent and we were joined by a member on the first tee. He was a local and was extremely friendly. The course is a good test with stunning par 3’s. We played off the whites at 6500 and it provided plenty of tests for us. The greens were very fast and kept us guessing all the way around.
The pace of play was the only issue. The 4ball in front of us were members and made no effort to let us through even though we were up with them for 16 holes. We had even given them a two hole start. Disappointing attitude from them.
We’re playing it again before we go home, we hope it’s different this time.
Unwelcoming
Staff unfriendly and service poor…got a good rate via golf now but got treated like second class citizens the moment we arrived. Took 5.5 hrs to lay starting at 1:20. Pro shop closed after round and no one to help with transport back to our resort
Fun and playable course
One of the funnest and most casual courses in Puerto Vallarta. Pretty good shape and interesting holes. Definitely would play again.
Overall a good course. Bunkers good and well maintained. Greens were bare in spots but overall OK. I play it about once a month and think it is a good value if booked on GolfNow.com at the discount rate.
