Casa Velas is an adults-only resort that offers a peaceful, upscale atmosphere with three restaurants and bars, several pools and Jacuzzis with concierge service and VIP access to the exclusive Táu Beach Club. Guests can unwind at the world-class luxury spa, which features treatments and hydrotherapy circuits, or stay active with swimming, tennis, beach volleyball and a full fitness center. Right next door, Velas Vallarta is a family-friendly resort with various restaurants, daily buffets and gourmet dining options, along with fully stocked minibars. Guests can stroll through lush tropical gardens, relax on the beach, swim in one of the three pools, or enjoy a game of tennis or basketball. There’s also a Kids’ Club with fun, supervised activities designed just for younger guests. Golfers staying at either resort have access to two nearby clubs. Marina Vallarta Club de Golf, designed by Joe Finger adjacent to Casa Velas, is an 18-hole course that offers incredible views of the Sierra Madre mountains, Banderas Bay and the tropical coastline. A half-hour cab ride away, Vista Vallarta Golf Club features two 18-hole championship courses, one by Jack Nicklaus and one by Tom Weiskopf. The Nicklaus course sits at a higher elevation and offers panoramic views of Puerto Vallarta, the marina and the bay, while the Weiskopf course winds through jungle, ravines and creeks for a more rugged, scenic round.Facts

Tough little. Ourse
The Marina Vallarta course is well located in the Marina area and easy to get to. Fairways are narrow and you have to play with precision. There are crocodiles lying around on most water holes and one has to be careful not to get to close. Good value for money and a nice challenge.
Nice layout but scruffy
Played several times, decent layout some fun holes, one par 3 by the beach, lots of crocodiles and iguanas. The fairways can be patchy but the greens are very good and on the fast side. Starter got us out an hour early, lots of beverage girl visits, course marshals very friendly. I would say $125 US would be a good price for a 9:00 time, we paid $140 using my GolfNow member app versus $170
Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink
Lots of water and crocodiles. Had a fun day lost 3 balls to water hazards and not even trying to recover them.Fernanda golf cart girl was friendly try and support her on your round
Five some
We caught a five some on the fourth hole and had to on every hole the rest of the way. Poor etiquette or they just did not care. Probably added 45 min to our roudddxzzz
Sweet
Overall, a very nice golf course we had a single in front of us who was slow then he joined up with another single I let through and they were not much faster, but we got our 18 holes in just in time the last hole was a little dark the overall condition of the course was very good Greens are exceptional and very fast.
One of the best in Puerto Vallarta
Both Vista Vallarta courses are very nice. The Weisskopf course seems to be a little less busy. Course conditions were excellent. I suggest to take a caddy, he can help considerably with green reading. One of my favorites in PV.
amelioration
Il y avait un Marchal 👍pour vérifier les groupes lents ,
Nice golf course with a lot of water
The course was fun to play it has a lot of water the fairways were a little sketchy as far as their condition but the greens were in very good shape
Vista Vallarta Weiskopf
Great layout with fantastic holes. Very good condition relative to others. Nice Mountain View’s
Stuck behind five some
We caught a five some on around the 4th hole. Our four some was held up every hole the rest of the way. Obviously, the five some either had no clue about golf etiquette or they did not care as they never offers to play through or split the five some up. No ranger came around for us to complain to. We had a late tee time, so we were concerned about finishing the round.
Tough and Narrow but Fun!
Disclaimer: In my first year of golf with a 25 handicap so my review may not apply to more seasoned golfers.
This course was challenging with narrow fairways, “hilly” greens, and a lot of bunkers - I know because I found them all. Made a few ball donations to croc infested waters as well. Saw loads of crocodiles and turtles in the course. A trip to the zoo 🤝 Round of golf. Great value for the price if you go in the afternoon. The fairways need some work but the greens were decent with a few dry patches here and there. Staff was incredibly friendly! Would go back!
Vista Vallarta is amazing
Overall the Weiskopf golf course that I played is fantastic the only suggestion I have to help improve that course is you need to get some more sand in the bunkers they were very hard panned with a lot of rocks. Also, I'm only guessing that that golf club is losing money there was hardly anybody there playing the course. Another suggestion lower your golf rates and rely on volume rather than big bucks for people to play. I will be back to play there again maybe the Nicklaus course next time.
Must Play Once!
For a 20 handicap golfer, this course is extremely shot oriented. Do not attempt to play this course without a bag full of balls! Shots landing on the green do not hold, numerous traps and water hazards on every hole. Be an accomplished golfer and be willing to shell out a couple hundred bucks to enjoy the crocodiles and the views. Be sure to take water when you go, there is no water on the course.
