Vidante at Puerto Penasco
The course has a very nice and challenging layout. The ocean views are added bonus for sure. The condition is good, few greens could use more upkeep, but nothing major. The driving range is very good. They have a beverage cart however we would prefer a Hole 19 cantina to have a lunch or a snack afterwards. It is not always convincente to drive back to the hotel and use one of their restaurants. We do recommend the course.
NOT WORTH IT!
Las Palomas Golf Course is easily as good, if not better, for way less money. This place was absolutely not worth the 40 minute drive. You have to go into the main resort to pay, and then you drive a mile to the course.
Greens, fairways, rough, and bunkers were good...nothing special, though. Pace of play was garbage and no marshal...only 4 groups in front of us and we teed off at 830. 4 1/2+ hour round.
No GPS on the carts, no course map, no course layout/yardage book, course isn't on any apps or GPS. There are a lot of blind shots, and plenty of gimmicky crud, so not having a clue where to hit the ball half the time was stupid. If you spray a few shots here and there you will lose balls.
Beautiful but tough
It’s a tough course with lots of sand traps which makes it very challenging. The Oceanside fairways are beautiful. While we didn’t have great scores it was an enjoyable round of golf.
Beautiful but challenging
Love the holes by the ocean. Really beautiful. Sand traps are a challenge and there are quite a few. We’ll be back!
Good day
Beautiful course. Needs a little tlc, particularly the greens.
Amazing views
We played the course a few times and love it.
Beautiful views to ocean and beach for a few holes.
Very challenging!!!! Lost a lot of balls. Course knowledge is very helpful.
Always A Fun Time
Course was not in the best of shape compared to previous times I’ve visited. Most of the greens were very dry and patchy with some signs of being aerated on some of the holes. Needless to say still enjoyed the round even in the conditions it was in.
Condition
The condition the course is not as good as other years. They have not done anything to repair the clubhouse.
VIDANTA
Great course. Tough but fair, as long as you hit it straight. Great price for a 5 star course. Sergio was great and all the staff were really nice. Plan on playing it again next week. Visa's in the holes by the bay were worth remembering for sure.
Beautiful!!
Beauty comes with a price. A price of losing balls. Worth every penny. Not a lot of people golf there so the pace of play couldn’t have been better. The natural layout of the course makes it challenging.
Great shape, tough course
Course is in great shape and not many players on the course.
Spectacular!
The course is very challenging and the setting is beautiful. The Sea of Cortez makes it hard to concentrate on shots along the water and it’s essential to “plot” your way along the other holes, but definitely worth the effort.
The only negative thing I can say is that the bathrooms on the course (although beautiful) are not functioning. The toilets don’t always flush.
