Big Sky Resort

About Big Sky Resort
The Big Sky Resort might be known first and foremost as a winter playland, but summer is equally enjoyable. Guests of the resort have so many local activities at their fingertips – 40 miles of mountain biking, scenic chairlift rides, ziplining, golf, an escape room, guided hikes, archery, disc golf, fly fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing and whitewater rafting. The mountain offers more than 20 restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Four hotels reside in the mountain village with one more by Highway 191. Vacation rentals include cabins, condos and private homes, while the Signature Collection delivers the best of these. The resort’s Arnold Palmer course is 6,500 feet above sea level, perfect for longer drives at elevation.Facts

Lovely views
Great time. Very good conditions on an accessible course. About 5 greens are contoured too severely for how the are rolled; inaccessible to high shots but too soft to roll up. High shots that land on the green should stay there and that wasn’t rue 1/3 of the time. Pin placements too tough for a weekend non-tourney. Fun time mostly. At $158 not a value.
Beautiful Course
You pay for the views, which are truly spectacular.
The course is beautiful, but be sure to check your clubs if you rent them. Half the clubs they gave me were for a lefty.
They also keep your credit card, which would be fine except you can’t use that to buy food or water at the turn. The woman at the pro shop was not very friendly at all either.
The number they have at hole 7 doesn’t work for ordering food, so we had to call the pro shop and be transferred. Then, the food was not ready when we arrived. They also said after we paid and were still waiting on the food that they couldn’t bring anything to us out on the course which slows down the pace of play. I wouldn’t order the salad or the meat and cheese plate again (the meat was old and the dried apricots were rock hard).
Nice course
Wife and I had a fabulous time playing this course. The ranger was awesome the staf as well. Recommend this highly
Wonderful Views, Great Conditions
Views on every shot. The course was in great shape. There are some holes where you have to avoid houses off the tee but other than that the course was amazing!
Big Sky golf
Course in decent condition. Small ok club house. Good practice area. Magnificent Mountain View’s. Unfortunately slow play.
Blue Sky
The course was in great condition. It is a "mountain" course but is all flat. Don't expect ups and downs. They won't let you take drinks on the course and the beverage cart didn't come by until around the 14th hole. Would definitely play again.
Incredible views
Absolutely a must play. Great condition and great staff
Big Sky
Happened to be come to Yellowstone area for family vacation, not many courses in the area to play that are not 2 plus hours away, this was about an hour from where we were staying.
The fees were a little bit pricy for the course but the views were fantastic and made up for some of the difference and overall the course was in great shape greens were fast.
Links Design with Beutiful Views
I enjoyed the layout of the course. It's not long considering the elevation, but narrow fairways and long grass on both sides of most holes creates a risk/reward with the driver. Having not played the course before I got in trouble a few times running out of fairway on what I thought were great drives.
The greens could be better maintained. I'm not confident there is consistent sanding and possibly aeration. They were spongy with inconsistent speed and grain, made putting difficult.
