Course is not worth the cost
Course in below average condition for this time of year. Most holes either along side driving range or side by side. Can be hit from anywhere it seemed. Greens on slow side. Just boring layout. No memorable holes. Staff not very friendly and first time playing course.
Interesting layout
The course conditions are not the greatest
Greens overall small and tricky
Bunkers need more sand
Traditional course
This course seemed more like an older traditional course with great views. Especially the view from the back tee on hole #15.
Much more than a typical resort golf course. I have played many top rated golf courses and this course is comparable.
I have played most of the top rated golf courses in the Phoenix area and I would rate this course as comparable. It is surprisingly good for it being a resort course. We played a very nice round with no delays on and otherwise very busy day in January. The amenities and clubhouse were terrific and I would suggest it being superior to most clubs in the area.
WELCOMING PEOPLE
I noticed right off the staff was very friendly and helpful!
Course was in great condition from tee to greens.
My tee time was at 1pm, so pace of play was expected to be worse than the 4.5 hours
Beautiful course with stunning views
This course was extremely well maintained. There are views on most holes of the mountains that surround the course.. Even the rough is green grass at this course (and that was in January when some courses have dormant grass in the rough).
Over priced old course
Fairways are in nice condition. Greens are medium to fast. There are so many divots not repaired you can repair 10 divots on each green and still see some in your line. Biggest issue with this course is the layout. Fairways run
so close to each other, you feel like you are playing dodge ball instead of golf.
Pace of play was good. We went out early on a Saturday. Played full round in less than 4 hours. That's pretty good for weekend winter golf in AZ. Saw the beverage girls about every 3 or 4 holes. IMO, it's overpriced. Overall nice, but there are plenty of other courses in the area that are better value.
Not worth the money.
Not worth the price, many tee boxes do not have grass, also very little sand in the traps.
We were a little dissapointed with the condition of some T boxes especially the front 9. Compared to our previous experiences the course has deteriorated. But still one of our favorites.
Links
A challenging beautiful course in central Phoenix with the best views in the Valley. One of my favorite courses to play in AZ, you can’t go wrong here! From the best Hot Dogs at the turn to the cool old school vibe, the AZ Biltmore delivers an awesome experience!
Beautiful course with lots of history.
I thoroughly Enjoyed the course, my only complaint might be it’s a little tight between greens and tee boxes in places.
