Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center is located in Mesa near Arizona State University and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This 200-room property features banquet and wedding space and its own 18-hole golf course and practice center. Rooms types range from a studio double at 518 square feet to a three-room Casita King concept over 700 square feet, as well as a 1100-square-foot Presidential Suite. The golf course opened in 1960 and is a traditional design stretching to 6,601 yards by Jack Snyder. In addition to the main pool there are multiple jacuzzis throughout the property.Facts

the greens were in good shape but the rest of the course was garbage!!
I think they renamed it "golden hills" because all of the hills on the course were DIRT mounds and maybe could be considered "golden Hills".
No grass anywhere.
fairways were pure garbage.
i last played here in 2023 and it was garbage then. We came back with the hopes that they would have done something , anything to improve it but NOTHING!!!
it will be at least 2 years before we come back.

Fairways very open and forgiving 3 and 4 par course
Fairways very open and forgiving. Gives you a cance tp practice your 3 and 4 par game, along with your pitching.

Great value, have longer par 4’s. Great course to bring out entire bag. Driver and long irons. Wide open fairways . Bang for buck m. Yes!
Great Practice Coursce
We enjoyed playing here today. It only took us 2 1/2 hours to play today which was great. Greens were in great shape. Course is a long course where you can use all your clubs.
Not Senior Friendly
I'm 76 and handled it pretty well. But we were with our wives and the red tee's are definitely not friendly for our wives. Also there were many holes that were soaked and many with dirt mounds where there should have been grass. The greens were bumpy and a few putts were redirtrected ( not a misspell ) causing a missed stroke. The value was good but the course conditions nullified the price.
WORST COURSE EVER
This course would have to be $20 for a round for it to be a remotely good deal. Way over priced for the terrible condition of the fairways, greens, and bunkers.
Started early in the morning, only a few groups in front of us. Played through 18 in 3.5 hours. Pace of play was great. Course was in good shape, greens were consistent, some spots on the fairways but not bad at all. Would definitely play again.
No water in AZ
Too little irrigation at this time of year….. too many lies in the hardpan
Great track overall however you get what you pay for. Some fairways have entire dead zones and so do some greens. Highly recommend if you just got off the plane and need to warm up.
Rough
The course layout is fun not boring played it many times in years past. Have never seen it in this bad of condition. Seems they are struggling
