Below average
Pros
Greens we ok
Staff is excellent
Place of play is over 4:30
Cons
The fairways is dead, there was time in the middle off the fairway we had to move 3 or 4' to get a little bit of grass.
There was standing water on some off fairways.
The sand trap there's no sand.
The course be in good shape this time of year.
I played 5 times last year it's wasn't a bad.
Good course for the price
Course is in decent shape for this time of year. Lots of dirt off fairways but not muddy. Soft sand in the bunkers. Easy to play.
Golden hills
They should have renamed this course goat path hills. There’s no excuse for the conditions at this course. Greens are ok but tees and fairways are just plain awful. Staff is friendly but can’t hide the truth that this place is a dumpster fire.
Nothing special
Course was okay but could have been in better shape. MAIN disappointment was the ball washers which had rancid water in them. Absolute turnoff as an indication of course maintenance.
Good way to enjoy the day.
y wife and I played with another gentleman and had a nice round without any distractions. Just wish the course conditions were better, It needs some more work to make it a nice place to play on a regular basis.
worst conditions ever
I have golfed this course dozens of time in the past and have never seen conditions this bad. Large parts of the fairway are yellow, other parts are sloppy messes from over-watering. Out of bounds areas are just dirt and dust. I would recommend this course only if they keep the prices down. Not worth over $70
Good greens, bad fairways
Greens, sand traps and grass around greens was great, but the fairways were very poor. Power carts were quite old and clubhouse needs an update. Pace of play was great. For the low green fee we paid we were happy and would go back.
Improving every year.
We've played here before and it was in worse shape. Stay in the fairway and you'll be just fine. It's a great layout and fun to play. The greens were in good condition. We play here at least once a year when we're down here. It gets a little better every time. Hope they continue with their improvements.
Layout and Condition Ruined All Fun.
The Lady that signed me is was very understanding and kind to me. That was the only good thing I experienced there. There are par 4's there of 440 yards! Several are over 400 yards from the white tees. Several fairways feature large areas of standing water and mud. Grass is weak, muddy, and hard to find. Arizona Golf Resort has always been bad, and it's actually better than I've seen it before. Still, I wouldn't play this course for free.
Dissapointment with the course conditions.
My wife and I went here to play because the green fees were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I just wish the course conditions would have been better, The layout is fairly challenging.. If they would improve course conditions it would be a place I would consider playing on a regular basis.
