Arizona Golf Resort & Event Center is located in Mesa near Arizona State University and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This 200-room property features banquet and wedding space and its own 18-hole golf course and practice center. Rooms types range from a studio double at 518 square feet to a three-room Casita King concept over 700 square feet, as well as a 1100-square-foot Presidential Suite. The golf course opened in 1960 and is a traditional design stretching to 6,601 yards by Jack Snyder. In addition to the main pool there are multiple jacuzzis throughout the property.Facts

Horrible
The course is in horrible condition. Hardly any grass and several fairways were flooded
Course needs some help
Course was aerated recently. Many fairways had areas of little to no grass. Greens were nice. Played here many times but have never seen the course in this condition at this time of the year. Areas where there was grass looked fine.

Out of touch, Absentee Owner
The course is currently almost unplayable. 4 of 5 pumps that move water are currently broken with no eta on repair. Apparently the owner, a doctor from California doesn’t want to spend the money. Local staff has to deal with that stupid decision.

Don’t waste your time
Grass was very dry. Drink cart showed up on hole 1 and never came back in 4 1/2 hours. No water or drink made is very uncomfortable. Would never go back based on this

This course is meh.
Fairways are terrible tons of dead grass and dirt. Only played 9 out the 18 and decided to leave. Won’t be returning

Good value for summer golf
Staff was very friendly, played mid day on a Wednesday so not to many people. Typical summer conditions for Az some burnt areas in the fairways but all of the greens were in good shape and most of the tee boxes

Staff greeted me right from the parking lot. Course is in really rough shape. Pace of play was extremely slow. Would not recommend.

Poor course conditions for cost
The golf course was not taken care of. We went in April when it hasn’t gotten too hot yet for it to be understandable. The fairways were a rock hard with mostly dead grass. The only nice grass was around the greens. Even when you hit the Fairway you still felt like you were hitting an errant shot out of the rough. There are plenty of other courses, not too far for the same price that are better taken care of with much nicer Fairways and kept up well.

Rough shape
The course is in rough shape. A lot of dried out fairway and patches that are essentially just gravel now.

Fairway needs care it’s all dry grass but around the greens is good and putting is good. Your playing in dirt or dead grass in the fairways

Good practice
This is a good course to work the kinks out with wide fairways. Don’t care for the gas golf carts noisy and loud. However it is what it is and will play it again and again.

Fun time
Nice pace of play for mid day, a lot of singles we let pass as we were a threesome, fairways are being worked on so a lot of yellow grass, but the greens are in good shape.

Greens nice Fairways not so nice
The greens were very nice and smooth. The fairways were in of attention. Found out later that an irrigation pump had failed and had just been replaced, the grounds crew were trying to catch up.
The pace was good, no line ups at the tee boxes.
