This Place SHOULD NOT EXIST
Introduction and Safety Concerns
My mother had the misfortune of living and passing away at this property in April. According to the police officers I spoke with, there was another death just two weeks before my mother's. It seems that law enforcement visits are a regular occurrence here. In March, a tenant reported a foul smell, only to discover a decomposing body on the premises. This raises serious concerns about safety and well-being.
Maintenance and Accommodation Issues
My mother faced numerous challenges with the property management. A year prior to her passing, she fell and injured herself due to an upturned carpet in her apartment—a hazard that was never addressed. Later, she fell again, injuring her hips. Despite being on a month-to-month contract and having mobility issues, her request for a first-floor apartment was outright denied by the management.
Ethical Concerns and Management Behavior
The management's ethical conduct is highly questionable. My mother never re-signed a year-long lease, yet they claimed she did and even went as far as forging her signature. When she requested to see her contract, they conveniently "couldn't find it." Additionally, there are inappropriate relationships between employees and tenants. I raised these concerns with the property manager, only to be met with blatant dishonesty.
Payment and Access Issues
The management's approach to payments and access is inconsistent and troubling. They selectively demand cash payments from tenants they appear to have issues with. Moreover, while they entered a neighbor's apartment without notice, they hesitated to check on my mother's well-being despite multiple neighbor's report of a concerning noise, waiting instead for police intervention.
Sanitation and Living Conditions
The property's sanitation standards are abysmal, to say the least. The premises are infested with mice, mice feces, roaches, rats, and mold—all of which I have documented with photos. The final correspondence my mother received was an assessment report from a home inspection company, declaring her living conditions as unlivable.
Alleged Corruption and Legal Concerns
There are rumors suggesting that the property owner has connections within the Mesa City government, making it challenging for tenants to hold the property accountable. I can personally attest to the difficulties in dealing with the management. Even the police officer present during my mother's passing advised me to contact law enforcement if I encountered any issues with the property, stating that they were well aware of the management's malicious practices.
Conclusion
In summary, this property has proven to be a hazardous and unethical environment, plagued by issues ranging from poor maintenance and unethical behavior to alleged corruption. I strongly advise against anyone considering living here or engaging with its management.
Complete waste of money
I had bad experiences the last two times I golfed here but wanted to give them another try. I’ve played the course before and it’s a really fun course but this was definitely the last time I spend my money here. Arrived early to warm up before my round and asked for a bucket of balls. The employee said the range was just over seeded so it’s closed, range putting area, chipping area, everything. Put that on the web site or something, right ? Course was in rough shape as well. Bummer because it used to be a nice course.
Disorganized
10 carts lined up staff stating that they are starting everyone off 10 tee when the front nine was completely open. They finally agreed to let us go off the front and play was fine. Back nine super slow finally went around two groups in front of us and found the course completely open. No starter or Marshall. The poor cart girl was apologizing for the disorganization. The course was scalped and dry with patches of dirt in the middle of many fairways.
No fairway grass!!
There was exactly 0% change of your ball landing on any grass if you hit your ball in the fairway. Also had to wait 30 minutes before a cart was available to load golf clubs.

Terrible. Shape
Fairways were mostly dirt. Greens were horrible. I was told there was only one other player out there which meant I should be able to play quickly. When I reached hole number 8, I caught up to some beginners girls club. There was a lot of girls playing like a tournament and after waiting close to over a half hour for two girls to finish a par 3, I gave up and quit. So only played 7 holes.
Course conditions were terrible. I know I didn't pay alot, but even that was too much. Couldn't find any grass in the middle of the fairways.

Pathetic
Played the course couple months ago, decent shape. It has turned into a wasteland. Zero grass anywhere except near a leaking sprinkler head that obviously hasn't been used recently. Played the course many times over the years and this time was completely unacceptable. Just glad wasn't playing with out of town guests. Not sure what else to say except I won't be back and very disappointed.

Arizona Golf Resort
Course layout was good and greens were challenging with pin placement. Course was a little rough due to thatching and scalping as they were preparing to overseed. Some of the tee boxes were dirt due to the renovation process. I will definitely go back once the winter rye grass is established and tee boxes and greens are in better shape.

Az Golf Resort
Course is in the worst condition I have witnessed in 50 years.
Beyond terrible
If a review is over 2 stars, AGR probably left it themselves or paid someone to leave the review. The maintenance crew cuts dead grass and blows dirt off of dirt just to say they are doing something. This course will destroy your clubs. Worst course in the valley by far.
This place is where dust storms are born.
Gone down hill
I have lived in the valley for 20+ yrs and this course USED to be a good option. Greens in terrible shape, no grass in several parts of fairways, practice range is a joke, range balls not cleaned and so worn they don't have any dimples. I went in the clubhouse to pay and saw 16 shirts for sale...and that's it! In the entire clubhouse, they had 16 shirts and NOTHING else for sale. I seriously thought they were going out of business. I will NEVER play this course again. Really too bad as I mentioned, it USED to be a nice place to play.
Where's the grass?
At the end of the round a staff member stated that the course apparently hadn't been watered in over a month due to a non-functioning water pump. What little grass was present was so short and dry it was like hitting off dirt. There was plenty of dirt as well, even in the fairway. The whole facility just looks tired. I would not play this course again, even when they get their water issue resolved.
Horrible Shape
Very disappointed as I paid $35 per players then checked in and found out AZ Golf Resort dropped their costs per player to $15 because of how poor the course was. I asked for a refund and they told me to call golf now to figure it out.
