Pace in Place
I can not recall a slower pace of play. The course did offer rain checks. However, being a visitor that was not an option. Some locals accepted rain checks since they would be able to return. We on the other hand waited it out. sometimes with three groups on the tee.
Great value, great conditions
Beautiful day and beautiful track. Would only get better everytime as you learn where to hit it off some of the hidden tee shots. Will go back for sure.
Great Layout
The course was in good shape and every staff member we encountered was enthusiastic and helpful. While the total distance for the course is on the short side, water came into play on multiple holes, and the contours of the fairways and greens presented challenges. One negative would be price per round which is on the high side. Looking forward to our next round, when we can score a tee time at a more reasonable price.
Fun!!
Course was in good condition. Staff friendly and helpful. Was told cart path on like 3 holes on front. Lot more than what was said which led to slow play. Waited on hole 10 for 15 minutes at tee. Two open holes. Finally just jumped a hole. Back nine is ok but short and different than front. Course one should comeback to play. Hole 18 from whites 120 yards.
Great course , price and staff
I played this course one day before this round and loved the course so much but didn’t finish due to darkness . I returned for another round not because of the unfinished round but because the course is awesome.
The staff are very friendly and helpful ensuring a great golf experience.
The course layout is like playing 3 different courses in one round.
Pace of play only slowed on the last 5 more difficult holes.
The greens are very firm and fast and in great shape. The whole course was in great shape lush and green without any bare spots.
I will be returning to the area with friends and this course will be priority #1.
Be aware the course only has a small putting green and only practice warm up is into netting. Also the traps play very firm.
NY Winter Escape
Beautiful coarse surrounded by fountains, mountains, flower beds and gorgeous homes.
Challenging course with some fun golf holes and golf shots.
Spoilt by Slow Play
The course condition was great, the weather was perfect but the round was spoilt by having to follow a slow and highly inebriated group ahead of us. The on-course marshals seemed unable or unwilling to address the problem. My unverified suspicion is they they may have been staying at the resort and thus were given more leeway. Shame - spoilt an otherwise excellent day's golf.
Painful
Let me preface, there is no amount of beauty that will offset having to wait 15-20 min per tee box.
I called the pro shop at the 4th hole to ask about this. They asked where I was on the course and what my tee off time was. Then informed me, somewhat snidely, that this is normal pace of play for a Saturday. I was told 5.5-6 hrs is NORMAL, if I want to, I can come back to clubhouse and get a refund. I drove 40 mins to play this course on a beautiful day.
Not sure about everyone else, but waiting all that time between holes is agonizing.
I was setup with 3 guys I did not know. We all quit, but couldn't even get back to the pro shop quickly, due to the cart paths being so narrow, all the fairways roped off and multiple backups at the tees.
When we arrived back to the pro shop, I was asked if I wanted a credit instead. The guy Blake, barely looked at us. We could tell he was annoyed, by me being annoyed.
I told him no, I'd like a refund. He said, fine. I'll pro rate the holes. I said fine, whatever.
I informed him if 5.5-6 hrs is considered their normal, it should be on their website as such. I fully understand he probably has no control over the website, but to tersley inform me that 5.5-6 hrs is normal pace of play, is ridiculous. I know I sound like a B here, but I had 3 guys with me, that I did not know, fully in agreement.
I would not come back here, im sure they're happy about that as well.
It is a beautiful course, many amenities and they have Gelato. Those are the pros...
Great beautiful place to play
Had a really great time it’s a wonderful course to play grade 4 Midlo handicappers and really worth the money
Helps to know the course
This was only my second time playing this course and due to several blind tee shots and other unknown approaches you need someone in the group who knows the layout. Course was in great shape and the greens were smooth and true. Drive accurately because there are some narrow landing areas. I’ll be back!
