About Canoa Ranch Golf Resort
Located south of Tucson in the town of Green Valley is Canoa Ranch Golf Resort, located next to Canoa Ranch Golf Club. This 94-unit resort features guest rooms and 1- and 2-bedroom suites. A buffet breakfast is included with rooms. Other amenities include a fitness center and outdoor pool. The golf course was designed by the team of Schmidt-Curley and opened in 2003. The resort offers unlimited golf packages, as well as access to six area golf courses such as San Ignacio and Haven Golf Club. Canoa Ranch Golf Resort is located a short distance of Green Valley dining and nightlife, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking.Facts

Nice course
Nice course, generally in good condition, as long as you ignore the sandless bunkers. The greens were pretty good, but playing late in the day, they were kind of bumpy. Playing with a fun group makes up for some of this.
PUT SOME SAND IN THE TRAPS
Worse bunkers I've ever seen. Is it so hard to put some sand in them?

Live Northwest of Tucson. But my playing partner and friends enjoy traveling to Green Valley to play their courses. Our favorite is Canoa. Reasonable price for the course. Only bummer is hole #9. Last year when we played it, it was a par 5. Had a good drive. Second shot was 10 feet from the pin. Drained the put. "Eagle". Not bad for a 74 year old. But this year they made the proper adjustment and made it a Par 4 as it should be. But, for me it was an eagle in 2022.

Upgrade your sand traps and I will give you 5 stars.
Nice layout and in good condition except the bunkers, they are terrible. You cannot play out of the rock filled dirt holes ( certainly not bunkers).
My favorite layout in Green Valley, however the sand traps are awful they should decide to put some money in to them or remove them they are unplayable so we just take free drops out of them.
Great Layout
Tough but playable course with spectacular views .
Resort caliber course that winds through the natural terrain and provides elevated tee boxes on several holes and a memorable round….
Nice course
Played a few times this year , tee's, fairways and greens are in nice shape. They were working on the bunkers the last time I was there .
Slow pace
Very slow pace. Golfers ahead of us actually left after the 4th hole. I only played this course once before. It was moving better the previous time.

Great course, but…
The course is in overall good shape with the exception of the sand traps which are like concrete…at some point these need to be repaired or this course will fade away…
Nice layout
Nicely kept greens, fairways and tees.
Bunkers are nicely shaped and in good location, just don’t want to hit out of them because of hard,wet, compacted soil, with lots of rocks.
Don’t know what the deal is with the no sand, it’s a big part of the game and when you take that option out because they’re so bad, it really sucks.
