Canoa Ranch Golf Club

We were about 2 minutes late for our teetime (coming from Vail to Green Valley), and were treated as if we were holding everybody up. Todd gave us attitude as soon as we walked up, I apologized and went to check in, the lady inside was also extremely rude. I get up to the tee to meet my group and they were still waiting on the group in front of us! Decided to call it a day after 9 holes because of slow pace (did not see one ranger) and as i was trying to return my cart our lovely gentleman Todd made another appearance and told me I was going the wrong way, I told him I was just leaving and told him everybody was rude. His response was “because you were late”. I didn’t realize being 2 minutes late gave them a reason to treat me and my friend like crap. I called the course and asked to talk to a manager and got put on the phone with Haley, who has no clue what she’s doing, responded “uhhhh I wasn’t here for that” and then told me she was not a manager. Super unprofessional behavior from everyone at this course today. I promise I will not be going back here and will tell everyone I know to avoid this course.

Other than no sand in the bunkers,( isn't there sand in the desert?) the course was in great shape with spectacular views. Joe was very helpful in organizing the starting and although they were running a little behind, everyone was in good spirits. Every hole is unique with changes in the terrain up and down like a toilet seat at a mixed party. The cart lady was very friendly and if you didn't enjoy yourself out there, it was your own fault. Great way to spend the day and worth the lengthy drive from East Tucson. Just listen to some peaceful music and enjoy the journey.

Staff were great. Pace of play was good. The bunkers had water in them bc of recent rains, but greens were in good shape and it was an enjoyable round.

Greens needs some loving but run smooth and are soft so fire away at the flag. Fairways well maintain, don't play the rock bunkers unless you don't like your clubs and need a reason to buy new ones. Staff is always nice and courteous. Overall a great experience everytime I play there.

The staff, despite checking in, were rude and unhelpful when I asked questions about the course. From the very beginning, on hole 1, two other golfers were breathing down on me. They should have strategically spread out to prevent this from happening. On the back nine, I decided to skip the last four holes because of the log jam of golf parties and the relentless sun, making it an unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this course.

They over book and causes delays on the course, 5.5 hrs for a round of golf in Arizona heat because you are literally waiting behind 2 other groups of foursomes at every tee is utterly bull crap!!!!

Canoe Ranch golf course is usually my favorite course of golf this day, the staff was very unfriendly unwelcoming and made it for a long afternoon. The course was logged jam from hole one all the way to finish a two hour game took about four hours to complete..
