Morning view down the Par-5 5th fairway. A strong drive, especially to the center-right fairway, sets you up to go for the green in two! Photo submitted by vmustang on 04/25/2021

Slow, small greens
Nice course, rotten tee boxes, nice layout and fairways, bunker sand inconsistent, greens are very slow and bumpy, oldest course in Arizona. No driving range
Lots of grass
Course was in good condition and good to hit on real grass anywhere on course.Flat and wide open with some tree lined fairways. Tees need to be bigger. Greens in good shape
Price
When we checked in the price was $80.00 per player even though we were quoted $ 75.00 golf now.com. This was not a great start to our round but being only 5 bucks per person more I didn't say anything. Not sure if it was an error on golf now or the course itself. The course was nice but not sure why I am using golf now and may just call the courses directly from now on.
Very nice course for the price
It’s high season in Phoenix, so $85 for well maintained course is worth it. Course in great shape both fairways and greens. This is an old course, so mature trees to stay out of. Course knowledge or good GPS as Has small canal wondering thru some holes. Will be playing again.
Compared to
Could have spent 50-60 bucks more but why?
Keep it in the fairway and it plays the same as courses in the 140s+
Nice value
Great deal on Golf Now. Course was in good condition. Some of the par 3 tee boxes were a little choppy. Biggest challenge is the bunkers. They are big, round and slope away from the green. This results in shots that tend to roll to the middle of the bunker leaving you with a long carry over sand to a sometimes tight pin. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our round at San Marcos. Greens good. Fairways nice. Trees and water offer a variety of challenges.
Nice but flat
Many time golfers hit into our fairway throughout the day
Overpriced
Long par 4s and couple of long par 3 s make it difficult for an above average player. Layout is pretty good but no exciting holes, greens and bunkers are poor for the price and no real range. This should be a $30 course not $65 plus
