About El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort

The El Conquistador Tucson, A Hilton Resort, is one of the destination's most historic golf resorts, dating back to 1928. It is also one of the largest for golf with two 18-hole courses and an additional 9-hole Pusch X short course that plays 2,700 yards. The AAA property features five pools, including one with a waterslide, as well as lighted tennis courts. Resort activities feature water aerobics, yoga and nature walks on nearby trails. For families, there is a kids club for ages 4-12. Among the 427 rooms are 1, 2 and 3-bedroom casita suites with separate living and dining rooms, swimming pool and hot tubs. The resort is adjacent to the El Conquistador Golf & Tennis, a semi-private club whose courses were built in the 1980s. It is managed by Troon Golf with a First Tee and PGA Junior League program.

Good deal of the day

Play on the front 9 of the La Canada course was excellent...no waiting and beautiful part of the course.

The back 9 was very slow and we did not like having to drive the cart on the busy sidewalk on the busy road. But, we got an excellent rate thru Golf Now so it was a good deal even though we only hot yo play 28 holes.

Directions

The markings to get to the next holes are terrible. Most don't have anything. If I hadn't see the group in front of me across the street I never would have found one of the holes.

Drove down from overpriced, overrated Phoenix and had a great round on The Conquistador. Course is in impeccable condition...fun layout, reasonably priced, nice people...what more can you say?

Best condition here in many years

They've done a good job with the course the last few years and it is nice! There's decent sand in the bunkers, greens are decent (and tough due to slopes) and fairways full and well cut. It's a fun course to play with beautiful views.
