Conquistador
Course was in very good shape, with the exception of the sand traps, they are like gravel pits, very poor. Course staff at bag drop is hit or miss, this round one one there at cart drop off at completion of play. Pro shop and starter very efficient and courteous.
April weather
Great day for golf. Met some great new people and enjoyed a good pace to finish the round around 4 hours. Good to see marshals out on the course occasionally but not too often.
PMKC
Very interesting, challenging layout with excellent, speedy greens. At 5700 yards though, the white tees played really long because the majority of the greens were steeply elevated. And while the traps were nicely manicured, there was very little sand….tough to play from around the green.drinking water was available at several tee boxes. We played the El Conquistador track as opposed to Canada layout. Will definitely go back and give that side a try.
Beautiful coarse in great condition, but with all the bunkers garding greens they need softer sand so you can get out
Staff Friendlyness Exceptional
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from the moment we arrived to check-in, we were guided to where to the starter was. We were paired with one other but were given a choice to either let him play ahead or create the foursome, we weren't forced to play together so we were able to maintain our good pace without holding the gentleman ahead of us. Only thing that there was a tournament before we arrived so there was no Ice for the ice chest and there was not going to be a drink cart going around to our side, so we had to purchase our drinks at the Pro Shop, prior to commencing. Overall Experience and Play were Excellent.
Enjoyed the Golf
Headed out to Oro Valley for a midweek chill afternoon round of golf— As expected not too many golfers braved the heavy clouds and windy conditions. Once I got on the course I found conditions to be excellent! Greens in AHSUM shape with lush fringe and rough conditions as well. All around great time…did not run into other groups until we hit back 9!! The only sour note… I showed early and said hey Im a single and ready whenever..guy in the pro shop said uh we are pretty busy you will need to wait the 30 minutes till ur tee time… nobody teed off during that time— whatever! Golf was great!!
Great except
Green complex’s very severe for seniors…deep traps with high walls Ang greens very slanted.
Tucson Trip
Party of 8, Had a great time and enjoyed the course and staff at El Conquistador (Conquistador course) in Tucson, AZ
To slow
Pace of play was terrible you had to wait 5 to 10 minutes between shots the people behind us got to know us real well.Crooked tree use to do that also never went back .When you have 4 carts on the first tee you know it’s not going to be good I a know I I won’t be back for a few years
Slow play!
Pace of play was very slow… not red than 4.5 hours
