Conditions could be better
Conditions were just average, tee boxes were a mess, some of the greens were pretty questionable. OK value for the money.
San Frisch Grande
Could be a nice course if the condition was better. Must be a few thousand gopher holes on the course. Found three with my drives. Luckily found my ball, but not what I would expect for the price. Layout is very nice and enjoyable but not one tee box was level and lots of bare spots on the middle of fairways. Greens need lots of work to be putt able. The one bright spot was the bunkers had nice sand but lots of grass growing in them. Was very excited to play ther only to be disappointed with the condition. I understand they are closed during the summer so might be nicer later in the season but then the price goes up. Too many better course to play for the same money. .
Just reopened
Course just reopened and the oversees had dramatic effects on the putting surfaces and rough. Greens were definitely slow and spent a bunch of time looking for balls just slightly off the fairway.
I liked the layout and the variety of trees framed most of the holes. I will give it another chance just to see the progress maintenance makes.
Overseeding
Cart path only, it will take at least a month before the course will be in good condition
Lots of fun, needs work though
This course was a lot of fun to play. I am no talented golfer but it was a fun challenge! It wasn’t busy this time of year which was nice because I didn’t feel rushed while playing. The amount of trees on the course were a fun challenge and great laugh since my husband seems to never miss a tree!
The course has great potential but the condition was rough. It was very hard to push a tee into the ground at the woman’s tee box and some of the greens were really rough. There are a lot of rodent holes all over the ground, which provided a great laugh when I stepped in one and face planted (I’m okay don’t worry)
In all I plan to play this course again. Casa Grande is the middle meeting area for my brother and I to get to spend some quality time in the course together so this will likely be a regular we will visit.
IT’S THE REAL DEAL….LONG & CHALLENGING
HIGH HANDICAPPERS BRING YOUR WOODS AND FEW EXTRA GOLF BALLS. GREAT LAYOUT. LOTS OF FUN. ENJOY!
dry
It appears that the watering is over since the course is turning in dust, oh thats right they are closing in 2 weeks for 4 months, why water. This used to be an excellant course year round, my have times changed. with all the people moving to casa grande, you would think they would wnt to keep it up, but it looks like soccer in king now..
Decent for the money
Title says most of it. Hard to beat 33$ with cart. That being said, little heavy on water and had bugs pestering on most holes, and that price point brings our BEGINNING GOLFERS,
Course has good layout
Overall, the course was in good Shae. Well maintained except for the bunkers. The bunkers were hard packed and difficult to play out of. Just got a fleet of new carts, very nice.
Always like playing Francisco
Greens and Tee boxes in better condition than the last time I played here. Weird how some fairways are dry and others are soaking wet, sometimes in the same fairway. I typically just give myself a free drop if my ball is on hard pan or in mud. I don’t mind.
Great time
Whenever I play Francisco Grande golf course, I have a great time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The cost is fair, not like many others that try to take advantage of senior citizens.
I will always recommend Francisco Grande as a course that cares for seniors!
