Francisco Grande Hotel and Golf Resort is a historic hotel, golf course and sports academy 45 minutes south of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The hotel and golf course is on the campus of Grande Sports World, a training destination for youth and national teams. The property was founded by Horace Stoneham, the owner of the San Francisco Giants, and opened in 1959. There is an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, while guest rooms are standard rooms and suite accommodations. The golf course was designed by Ralph Plummer and can stretch to over 7,500 yards from the championship tees.Facts

Beat the sunrise.
Got out early & had a 3 hr. round for once. Forgot what that was like.
Played at 7:45AM which was too early for a couple of night owls but worth it.
Better Then Before
I’ve played the course years past It’s always been a little rough. The greens especially. Haven’t played the course in two years. Went out today and was pretty amazed. For the most part the fairways where decent. There are a few spots that could use a little more attention but way better then before. And the greens are excellent compared to what they were. I couldn’t get the speed down but that was all me. They are full and true. And best part no gopher holes. Overall the course in in great shape. And the practice facility is top notch. Nice to have something like that in Casa Grande. It’s not your high end 100-200 dollar course but for an average working player it’s a great course to play, hangout with the buddies, and have fun. Definitely going back soon.
Has some character
Good layout. Cold morning and they don't have windshields on carts. Take one more club on the 2 par 3 water holes.
Perfect day
Course in good condition, some wet spots on fairways, but better than bare spots.

Little disappointed
The picture looked so good but actual course conditions were not as good as the listing information. However, it is not a bad course for go and practice. It is a long course with plenty of trees and some water. Overall, it is not a bad course to go and hit some balls. I would not recommend to take a guest out there if you want to show off Arizona golf course.
Love this course
Love the layout of this course. Very well managed, every one of the staff are great. Also love the outdoor bar area. Course Is in great shape. Price on Tee Off was fantastic.
Great layout, but...
Nice layout, but needs maintenance. At this time of the year, it’s inexcusable to have this poor condition.
Cold Morning to Tee off
Its was 30 degrees as I teed off. Limited people in front of me. I was able to play 18 holes in two hours and 10 minutes. The course was in good shape around. And, as always the staff were awesome.
Pleasantly surprised
We golfed this course a few years ago and thought it was ok. It is in better shape now than then. The staff was super from the bag boy to the front desk and the bar. Even tho it was cold, we truly enjoyed this course and will come back again.
