Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
Good course for the price!
Sure there were some dead spots, and the rough around the greens were not as well manicured as they could’ve been. But for the price 50$ before 8am I’d say it was worth the drive! Was expecting more gopher holes than fairways but that wasn’t the case at all! Friendly staff they got us out 15 minutes earlier than our tee time and we finished the round in 3 hours and 20 minutes!
Business as usual, more or less
Third time playing this course this winter. Found the greens slower than usual(?) and a few bare spots here and there. The fairways were generally good but again a few bare spots.
Love Playing Here
Staff is amazing. Always nice and friendly. History of this place is wonderful and always a good time. The course plays long, and trees cause plenty of trouble for novice golfers but always love playing here.
This course had 2 nice water holes.
There were so many gopher holes. I even lost a ball that you could see, but could not pull it out.
Uh 4
Prairie dogs have destroyed the place, bad greens that are only seen in nightmares. It's cheap but not worth it.
Dried up terrible fsirways
Once a pretty cool course with decent fairways, slow greens and ok tee boxes. Its looks like their irrigation died…trenches and wires open on some holes, huge spots of sand/dirt on many fairways, nothing is ever weed whipped around trees or fence lines, it’s worth $35. Hope it can make a comeback as greens were ok but bumpy and long….gem of place is the outdoor bump and run with good service, food and beverage.
Bad Conditions
I would never play this course again. The conditions are awful and they have ponds that smell like sewage.
They had a sprinkler system failure after oberseesing this fall. The fairways were not vey good on the affected holes.
I like the course layout and with they could get some rain to heal it up. Very long and well laid out course. Just in really tough shape right now!! To bad. Don’t think I can recommend right now.
Greens were not consistent otherwise enjoyed the round as usual
Course conditions
Course needs so much work they need to shut it down for a year.
