Hotel with history behind it!! Photo submitted by Shypoke55 on 04/22/2019
A low end Muni
Had never been there before. Billed as a resort course, it was pretty rough. Greens were good, but everything else reminded me of a old muni course that nobody wanted to put any money into. Fairways needed mowed, and there was not really any definition between fairway and the turf just fading out into desert. Conditions were very wet, with standing water in many fairways. Very soft conditions, but there was severe rainfall the night before, so the water issues were not their fault, but the general lack of maintenance to course and buildings were a turnoff.
I felt like I was CATFISHED! I was extremely disappointed and wasted $70.00. For those golfers that travel to Arizona to golf AVOID!
Long Drive
Drove down from Tempe, a little long to drive but have missed not getting here at least a couple times a year.
I like the course and found the greens to be in good shape and fast. Fairway have too many bunkers! Well, only if you're in them!!
The lay out is a little confusing for not having played it quite a while, but still fun to play.
The staff on the phone and in person were great, friendly and helpful.
Will golf here again when I'm ready for a little road trip!
Ok for the rate
The greens were in excellent condition. Fairways were burnt out and not in the good shape.
Fun course, excellent staff
Booked as a single. Starter moved up my tee time and sent me early with another single. Course played fairly and was in decent shape. Would recommend.
Not great
Staff was very friendly and greens were good overall. Tons or mole hills. Eough and fairways were lacking grass.
Christmas tee off time.
Nice laid-back course with friendly staff. But some of the greens could do some care because of the mole hills.
Course is in nice shape
The course is in great shape. The greens are almost like carpet. A few of the fairways are in need of a little help, but overall it's in the best shape I've seen it. Everyone at the course are very helpful. It's a very long course but has 5 tee boxes - black, copper, blue, green & red. From the black, the course plays over 7500 yards, from the blues, 6443.
Great "out of the city" course
We enjoy getting out of the Phoenix area and playing this wonderful course every year. Have always gotten a good rate. The layout is nice as well as the course conditions. See you next winter, thanks.
