Course is in great shape. People are always friendly and starters are great. Love playing this course. Highly recommended.

This is a great course overall and one of my favourites in Arizona. The layout is amazing and there is a great variety of holes. There is quite a bit of room of the tees but plenty of sand traps to find errant shots. The greens were not in as good as shape as previous years so that was the only downside this time. Frost delays cause quite a bit of delay here so make sure to book before 12:00 noon or you may not finish. Would certainly recommend to others and will return. Thanks!

Great course. Great range. Great facility. All true.

My annoyance was with staff. I showed up 1.5 before my round ready to go only to realize I forgot my golf shoes. The pro shop guy was not really interested in selling me shoes and was throwin me pairs to get it over with (I was more than willing to own Up to my mistake and spend $200 on shoes). I ended just buying the worst and cheapest pair of shoes the pro shop guy tossed at me.

After I left pro shop with my new $100 shoes I was THEN informed of an 1.5 frost delay. Making my tee time 2.5 hours from now. More than enough time to run back o Scottsdale and get my shoes and come back for my tee time. If only I was informed at some point by bag drop or pro shop of the extended frost delay.

All this kind of wrecked my experience. But the course is as advertised.

A little cold the day we played...had a freeze delay of 45 minutes. Fairways are pretty open and greens are fair. Only complaint was the greens were cut too short--dirt spots showing through

The fairways, greens and tee boxes are in great shape, however the sand traps could use work, inconsistent sand.

Very interesting layout with a lot ways to get in trouble. Sand everywhere! I plan to be back often.

Staff was very friendly and gave good advice on tee selection.

Our group played early so there was a bit of dew on the course, so yardage carry was important.

Only negatives were a constant cow dung smell that seemed to hang in the air for 8 holes ( i didn’t see any cows) and then

for remaining holes huge horse flies seemed to appear as it got warmer.

Both distractions, but manageable- I would play it again.

This course is awesome. Make sure you play the right tees and bring your sand game.

Good driving course, no micky mouse holes. Conditions were good. To be excellent would need the greens to roll a bit faster and the fairways more « lush »

They did a good job on a flat land. Overall an interesting test of golf where one can score

After the round was over, we tipped the cart guys who were cleaning our clubs and I explained to them that I had a disability, I was tired from cart path only all day, and that I would like to ride the cart from the cart cleaning station back to the location where the carts were loaded earlier in the day. They refused and told me they had a rule that couldn't be broken. I hauled my bag from that location to the car and they drove the cart back to the location where the carts were located at the start of the day. This kind of service is unacceptable.

The layout here is absolutely fantastic and the course conditions 4 days after overseeding were remarkably good. Everything from the practice facility to the entire golf course to the clubhouse and food was fantastic. I absolutely can't wait to go back the next time I make it to the Phoenix area.

We had a very enjoyable day at AK-Chin Southern Dunes. It was the first day after over-seeding but I rate the course in excellent condition because the greens, though slow, still rolled well and fairways were great. A very challenging course - small greens, well positioned bunkers and good length. Highly recommend this course!!

Great staff. Excellent service and treatment. Starters and cart girl were excellent also. Fun day.

Very fun, beautiful course. Can score if you are hitting the ball reasonably well. Pace was a little slow as Web Tour Q school was having a practise round. Was not a big deal. Play it every chance you get.

After reviewing all the comments I booked this course for my wife and I. We are average golfers and that might be the problem. Too many sand traps that makes this course a "target" style course. Not easy for someone with a 20 handicap. Not satisfied with quality of traps. The course was dry and the greens had been air raided. Well at least I suspect they were given their condition. The person behind the counter at the pro shop was less than cordial. I did not experience this at the other four courses we played. In fact my wife and I ranked this as # 5 of the 5 courses we played.

Pace of play was great as they only had 35 golfers yesterday (for whole day) as per the cart lady who made last call at the first hole as we were teeing off.

I'm sure this course is good but for us it did not meet our expectations as per the reviews we researched.

I played this course with my brother in late March of this year on the last day of our vacation. It's a unique track with lots of desert action on both sides of the fairway. Helps to mitigate lost balls off errant shots! Just keep an eye out for rattlesnakes. The course was very well maintained.
