Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club

Mosquitoes were not an issue. Fairways were in great shape. Great customer service. Love the layout but some bunkers were hard pan. Greens were rolling true and fast. You get a voucher to use for lunch as the clubhouse is under construction.

Overall a great time and worth the drive.

Love this golf course. Challenging but fair. Nice layout. They are building a brand new clubhouse. People are always very nice. Green fees are very reasonable for a very nice golf course. Worth the drive.

This is one of my favorites in the PHX area. Course is challenging but fair. Greens and fairways are in great shape.

the title says it all. 5+ hour round.Too many blind shots and very difficult to gauge yardage between bunkers. Did I mention they don't have sand in them, only dirt? We stayed at the Ak Chin Resort and that was nice. But, unfortunately, we won't be back.

Love it although the club house is in full construction; will definitely return next year

This is a fun, tough course for the average player. Lots of construction going on right now but the course is fine. Once the construction is done this will get 5 stars all around. Greens are excellent. Lots and lots of bunkers! The bunkers and desert terrain make it very special. I would highly recommend it.

Sand traps were not well maintained. Fairways were generally great. Greens were smooth and held approach shots well but were a little slow. Staff was excellent.

I have played this course many times and I always enjoy it because it is wide open and no houses on the course. The staff is nice, the food is good and the pace of play is good. I normally book as a single and always have a good pairing. The course is in the middle of construction of a new club house but, they are managing it very well and none of the services have been affected by this including course management and pace of play. I highly recommend this course.

Southern Dunes is a nice track but with the club house being fully rebuilt is got a lot of consumers going on, They are doing what that can to keep it open a lot of challenges to do so. It should be great once done but it’s currently a bit of a struggle compared to where it used to be. Doing 2027 it the target date.

The course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was fantastic. The entire staff is very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this course. Cannot wait until their new club house facility is completed.

The practice facilities and clubhouse was a little sparse so the the remodel but more than adequate.

All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Looking forward to playing again once the remodel is complete.

Great course with a nice layout, especially for summer. The course was in excellent condition, and the rangers and staff were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend bringing bug spray, as there are a lot of mosquitoes. The staff were kind enough to provide some, which we really appreciated.

Course was in suburb condition considering the middle of summer. Staff is always great and it’s always a fun day. Future looks very bright with all the new construction of the clubhouse, 1/2 way house, and practice areas. Temporary layout is a little a bit challenging, but manageable.

Lotta sand and quite difficult tee shots…all day long ! Greens are seriously protected with bunkers and the course requires continual thought and execution…nothing forgiving about the place. A great test of golf but be prepared to eat some humble pie !

I was impressed with the practice facility it had an NFL field goal out there to shoot at very cool ! A bit surprised they had neglected to prepare the practice bunkers since a golfer needs to be ready to hit sand shots all day maybe they forgot since not many tee times…

They should definitely add a sand bunker to use to practice fairway bunker shots out to the range !

Really enjoyed it hot day but so much drinking water for us to enjoy ! Excellent job by the staff as well !
