Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Great time, great course.
I really liked the layout of this course it was very interesting to play. It was also in great shape beautiful fairways and aprons lots of grass. The greens rolled well and were receptive to approach shots. Just be warned you will be going up and down a lot of steep hills especially around the greens. Be prepared.
Great condition
Groundskeepers get 5 stars, keep up the good work. Great vibe, super friendly and engaging staff including the marshals who are a fun bunch. Summer golf at its best.
Beautiful Course
Absolutely stunning views. Course isn’t in bad shape for summer golf. The beverage cart lady wasn’t there by the time we got out there. I would say on these hot days it would be nice to have ice out on the course. We got stuck behind a 6 some but they were nice enough to let two groups of twos play through. Would absolutely play again. Wish they had ball washers on course and the carts don’t charge the phones (minor details)
Great course! So nice we played it twice.
We came back because the views of Fountain Valley and beyond are amazing from a few 1000 feet about Phoenix.
Every hole was a workout. Cart path only on all par 3s. Do not bring buddies with mobility issues unless they’re just riding along for the views.
Eagle Mountain
2nd time playing the course, it has a nice club house, golf range, carts are in good condition, enjoyed my round
Its a very nice course however there are many holes that aren't the easiest to walk up and down to the green
Current conditions
Course is transitioning from winter rye to Bermuda. So it is pretty wet in some areas and dry in others. Conditions would be better if they allowed the grass to grow a little in the dry spots so that it is not hard pan. This made chipping around the greens challenging. Overall the fairways and greens are in good shape As far as value for money, they should have probably reduced pricing by about $35 based on conditions, but all the courses are trying to max out what they charge while the weather is reasonable.
Great track - eye pleasing views
Brought some friends to this course who were visitors to the area and first time at Eagle Mountain. Terrain was refreshing after playing flat PHX valley courses. Great views and this course never disappoints. Conditions were great. Pace of play under 4 hours.
For a Troon course- Not impressed
Charging $170--
5 hour round
Carts, tired, no GPS, bald tires,
No bottled water in cart
Every swale or valley over watered and soggy still at 2pm.
Anything over $150 seems like you should expect better. Especially from a TROON course.
Staff was nice and very professional!
