About Legacy Golf Resort
Legacy Golf Resort, operated by Shell Holidays, is located just south of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This resort features the 18-hole Legacy Golf Club, designed by Gary Panks and home to a full practice facility and golf instruction and academy. The resort features 328 suites set in a Spanish mission-style theme and units feature either kitchens or kitchenettes, washer-dryers, patios or balconies and large living areas. There is an outdoor pool with cabanas and an outdoor bar, tennis courts, sand volleyball, shuffleboard, BBQ area and children's playground. Dining is available at the golf club.Facts

Always Fun
Great layout, Great conditions. Always enjoy playing a round here. And the fish tacos were AWESOME!
slow play
Pace of play is always an issue at Legacy. No one cares or does anything about it. It is not a hard course and it is hard to lose a ball. Waiting on every tee box is a hard way to play golf.
Retired teacher
A fun layout with undulations on fairways & greens which makes it interesting for daily play! The variety of pin placement prevents boredom! Bunkers could use some more sand!?
Course in great shape - excellent pace
Played in just over 4 hours (after 45 min frost delay) and course in excellent shape.
Walked 18 with electric art (6.5 miles total) and green to tee walks easy.
pace of play issues
Legacy golf course, the only course I know of that thinks a 4 hour and 45 minute round is reasonable. No one at this course thinks pace of play is important and from the front desk people to the starter to the rangers nothing is ever said to anyone about pace of play. This course is wide open and it would be very hard to lose a golf ball out here yet day after day you slog your way around at an average of 4.5 hours or more. It is not very fun to wait at each tee box for one or in the case of the par 3's 2 groups to play the hole while you sit and wait. This course is too good a track to have this problem. It is sad that when you invite a guest to play here they say no thanks due to pace of play issues. No matter what I have written here I have discussed this with management at this course numerous times and nothing is ever done to help with this problem.
Bo in pro shop
I flew into scottsdale expecting rental clubs to be waiting for me. They were not. Meeting Bo in pro shop was the best part of my day after hearing my story. Bo in the pro shop could not be more helpful. Bo didn’t just do his job he went above and beyond and made a bad start of the day a great experience Thanks Bo and all the guys at Legacy. Legacy is on my list for next visit to scottsdale
Beautiful course on a gorgeous day
From the check-in at the Pro-shop to the tee-off with Tim and check-out with the young men at the end, the staff has been amazing. Thank you Sam for keeping us happy and hydrated! The course was in great shape.
