Fun times at Mountain Shadow; watch for traffic tickets
Great par 3 course that is moderately difficult, well maintained, great staff and a beautiful setting.
Just don't speed or run yellow lights in Paradise Valley. The City's budget relies on traffic tickets to pay their bills evidentially. Their traffic cameras are state of the art!
Thank you for the 5 star review. We strive to offer and friendly and helpful golf environment with the best view in town.
Best executive course
Loved the course, being able to walk, the design and beauty of the course. To top it off staff were friendly and the food was good. Great day!
Thank you for the nice review! We hope to see you again soon!
This was a short course, not as advertised till I arrived
Was expecting a normal length course. It was not described as a short course in any listing. Got there and noticed short course, was very disappointed for the money, I would have chosen a variety of other courses at that price point to play a decent length course.
Short Course and Par 3 golf isn't for everyone. We try to communicate that we are a Short Course. We'll review to make it more obvious.
Fun short course
Played Mountain Shadows for the first time yesterday, and it's a fun course. Greens were in solid condition, and some are quite adventerous. My one gripe is the tee boxes--they were quite terrible. They looked like something you'd see in mid-July (not January).
Thanks for joining us and glad you had a good time. December and January are tough for tee boxes at a Par 3 course. As of February 15, they are much better. We hope to see you again soon.
Short but well worth a loop
I had the opportunity to play this fun, retro-feel par-3 course in its weekly skins game, which often attracts PGA Tour players as well as aspiring pros to try and make an ace and walk away with some cash. It is a perfect venue for such an outing, with a mix of friendly and exacting holes that can shift daily as hole locations change. Architect Forrest Richardson indulged some of his more expressive ideas of green design here, to entertaining effect. Lovely views back into Paradise Valley add to the ambiance, as does the chic on-site hotel.
Fun Day
Had great time and we booked with Golf now and got reduced rate. Course is challenging for par 3 course. They have a nice patio for drinks after the round.
Some pin positions punitive
Some pin positions required high, soft and near perfect shots to get within 20 feet of the hole — particularly #16
Great short course
Located in central Phoenix this short course, all par 3s offers a fun challenge to test the accuracy of your approach shots and short game.
Greens and course were in good condition, the always friendly staff makes the day enjoyable and the outdoor bar and restaurant make for a great 19th hole experience.
Thank you for the 5 Star Review. We stive to provide friendly and helpful service, great course conditions and the best view in town. Sorry about the ticket.
