Always fun but challenging
Course is always in perfect shape. It has great views as you are at the base od Camelback Mountain. For an executive course, it is very challenging. Overall just plain fun. Their patio bar is a great place to grab a beer and sandwich after your round.
Fun Par 3 with nice views
First time playing this par 3. The course was super fun, greens have a lot of slopes that can reward or challenge you! Staff was very friendly. They offer 4 person golf carts which was super cool and fun for our group. We did the “hot deal” on golf now which made it worth it. I don’t think I could spend the “snowbird” pricing of $165 at the regular rate for when we were there. But overall, a fun course to try especially if you are with any golfers that don’t like long rounds or longer holes. Took 3 of us about 2.5 hours to play!
Over priced tourist course
Views were spectacular.
Greens very tough.
Almost putt putt style….
Tough greens
Greens were lightning quick and undulating, pin placement were wicked
Good Value
Played during Super Bowl week, and we were looking for a lower priced round. Greens were in good shape. some tee boxes good, others need work. If your looking for a lower priced course this one will work for you.
Slow Play
The course is in great shape and the people are very nice. It's expensive for a short course and it's really expensive when you consider we waited at every hole . It took 4 hours to play this short course. At times I felt like I was playing a glorified miniature golf course the way the greens had steep hills. Don't go there to play golf. Go there to have fun.
Mismatched Pricing
The course itself, was well kept and staff were friendly. The setting is great. The price does not match in terms of value for what you get. There are dozens of courses in the area for much less money that are much more appropriate for the price paid. I was charged 167 dollars for a challenging short par 3 course. It was more like playing an exotic miniature golf course. I admit I didn't do enough research to know it was only a par 3 short course but still, the pricing should have been closer to $55 at most. There was nothing extravagant to warrant the incredibly high pricing. For that rate, there should have been a complimentary caddy, free drinks and free food at a minimum. I was not at all impressed because of the extraordinarily high pricing for the round.
Thanks for the nice comments as we strive for good course conditions and a friendly staff. Mountain Shadows is positioned as a nice golf resort with the best views of Camelback Mountain, we just happen to have all Par 3's. Golf pricing is at a fraction of the nice area golf resorts that are well over $250, which we feel the $148+ tax you paid is a fair value for our Par 3 Course. Thank you for joining us.
Mountain Shadows (Beautiful Par 3 Course)
Not your typical short course.
As pretty a course as any in Metro Phoenix.
Don’t expect your typical flat green…par 3’s.
A lot of fun if the right attitude.
A fun par 3 to try
If you are looking to swing the sticks but want a quicker outing Mountain Shadows is perfect. Pleasant surroundings, great staff and surprisingly challenging. Rusty’s offers good food and cold beer with a lovely Mountain Shadows view. A great low intensity outing.
Course was great fun
Staff was great, on course facilities and cart girls were great. For a par three hard to par as the course and greens are all tricky with sand and multi slope greens. Wife loved it, was a lot of fun would play it again!
Thanks for the compliments as we strive for nice course conditions and a friendly staff. Mountain Shadows is positioned as a nice golf resort with the best views of Camelback Mountain, we just happen to have all Par 3's. Normal pace of place is between 3 and 3:15 and have no records of any rounds over 3:30 minutes. We are very proud that beginning golfers to PGA Tour golfers enjoy playing golf here and having FUN.
