Underwhelmed
Unfortunately, staff never informed us that a school tournament was being played and we were not offered chance to start on back 9 instead. Extremely slow pace of play!!
Is it concrete or Sand
The majority of the bunkers were like concrete. you have numerous road to cross so you do need to pay attention and also playing near houses. The greens are difficult, you can easily end up with 3 puts
Legitimately one of the worst golf experiences i've ever had
Course management should be truly ashamed of themselves. We played on a Saturday afternoon and calling it overbooked would be putting it nicely. We got through the first two holes just fine but ran into a 10 cart log-jam on the third teebox and pace never picked up from there. We walked off the course after playing 11 holes in 4 hours. To make matters worse the course had no water in any of the jugs and the halfway house was closed (yes, on a Saturday afternoon). I would never come here again. It starts at the top, figure it out.
Bad management
The course was over booked and i gave up after 2 holes. There were 16 people waiting on hole 3.
I had to wait 30 minutes for a cart.
They even gave the rangers cart to a golfer so there was no ranger to complain to .
Not a good experience.
They would not give me a refund and I got a raincheck.
I really should have got my money back.
Overbooked
Friendly staff. Good warm up facilities. Starter was a great guy. But man, were they overbooked. Started on the back, played two slow holes, then hit a 6 cart pile up waiting to tee off on 12 — not counting the group who were on the box. Asked for a refund, as it was clear it was only going to get worse with a par 3 coming up. Received a voucher. Good enough. I’ve only played here one other time and pace was okay. Hope this was an anomaly. Looking forward to giving it another go.
13 Cart pile up
Course was In good condition, but I only got to play 2 holes because they they oversold the course so bad that there was a 13 Cart line to tee off, then the staff refused to give a refund and lied to me and said that their business doesn't have the ability to give refunds... Ya okay....
Good value for the money
We had played this course last fall and it was okay. Played again two days ago and was pleasantly surprised at the improvements. A lot of the bunkers on the back nine had been redone. The fairways were in great shape and the greens putted well.
BEST customer service in the valley!
First time golfing at Orange Tree. Every staff member I interacted with was genuine and went above and beyond. They were very intentional on making sure pace of play was on time and one of the workers gave us free golf balls that he found on the course. Whoever owns that course knows what to look for when hiring people.
Just ok
The course is just ok. Seems over priced for the condition of the course.
Always Love Orange Tree!
This was our last round of our annual girls golf trip, and I was excited to find Orange Tree at a reasonable rate! It had been a favorite in the past, but we had been priced out of playing it in recent years. The staff were great, we played in under 4 hours, and would have loved to enjoy beverages and bites after our round but had a previous engagement. Thank you Orange Tree for the perfect last round of our special week!
