Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort

Thought I would give this course another try this season, but once again it confirmed why it remains on my do not play list. How does a Monday tee time at 11:50 turn into a 5 hour slog round, because the pro shop allowed several groups of 6 or more at several tee times in the morning. While the marshals did their best to move people along, the fact several groups were playing six people and most did not know how to play or were too drunk to give a crap added to the delays on every shot. If you want to save a few bucks on a round of golf and don’t care how long it takes to play then give Orange tree your money. I will not be tricked again. This course does not care about pace of play, only full tee sheets.

Nice course with a good layout. Just finished overseed so cart paths only and fairways and greens were slow. Back 9 much slower than front. Good practice facilities excellent pro shop. Half way hut aas decent but had run out of most sandwiches.

This place is always severely overpriced. It was worth it because of the hot deal. They’re getting ready for overseeding so everything is dead and the tee box are rock hard. It’s a really easy layout. Staff is great

It was really cool and fun to play Orange Tree when it was firm and fast. They were closing to start overseeding 9/28 so the fairways weren’t getting any water, which made conditions firm and fast. Grass was that yellow/brown color and balls were bouncing and running. Played like a links course where you could bounce balls short of the green and have them release. If I had a choice, this is how more golf courses would play year around. The guys we played with were crying about the conditions, but that is how golf is supposed to be played. Firm and fast.

I would avoid playing here till you see a positive review about the course conditions. The course is mostly dead at the moment. Grass is in poor conditions greens like concrete. If taken care of, this would be a great course. Sadly at the moment it fails. Play elsewhere.

Great course and staff. Greens are in great condition, Pace of play normal for this time of year. Perfect weather and starter "Chip" is a hoot.

First time playing in scottsdale. For the price considering neighboring courses these place far exceeded my expectations. Great layout, staff eas friendly and helpful. Lots of fun.

This was a fun afternoon. I arrived early for my tee time, but since there was nobody waiting, I was able to get on the first tee when I was ready. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The course played much better than most courses this time of year in the Arizona heat. Food and service at the bar afterwards was enjoyable.

Course was in great shape. Greens a bit slow, but very receptive (actually got to fix some ball marks - for golf in the middle of summer in phoenix, that’s pretty awesome!). Go, you’ll have fun.
