Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort
About
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Pace of play……?
Our group enjoyed the course, pro shop staff was nice, However after 3 holes of play, the Marshall told our group that we be needed to
“speed up…the group in front of you is 2 holes ahead of you”
Which was not true, they were not…. In fact our cart gps said we were 20 plus minutes ahead.
I informed the pro shop that the marshal should provide the amount of time we’re “behind “ if in fact we were, just because there is a gap in between groups does not indicate slow play…
After my call to the pro shop we were seemingly watched by the staff to monitor our play.
I think the marshal staff should be better trained on pace of play management
Big improvement
Played here last November and swore I would never be back because greens were covered in one inch of sand and the rest of the course was no better. Worst part was they didn’t tell you at booking and charged full rate. Terrible.
Tried it again because someone said it’s better now and they were right.
Not perfect by any means but big improvement and very enjoyable to play.
If you play for $100 it is worth it.
Great Condition, Great Value
Pace felt a little slow behind the Men's league, which apparently is on Tuesday mornings, but still finished in under 4:15. Course was is great condition and can't beat the value! Staff are all very friendly and on top of everything going on on the course.
Great recovery
After all the years of negative reviews, epic come back. Course is in great shape. Staff is awesome.
Perfect Day of Low Stress Golf
I wasn't sure what to expect from Orange Tree my first time playing, but what I found was a beautiful and quiet course that had everything I am looking for in a relaxing day of golf. Most fairways are wide and greens forgiven, but the course still presents enough of a challenge the keep the play interesting. Being a GolfNow member also provides one of the best deals in the Scottsdale area at Orange Tree. I would happily pay double what I did to play here again, but the HotDeal for OT just makes it that much sweeter.
Reborn
As many may now they had catastrophic damage to their greens last year, I am happy to say the course was in great condition from tee to most greens. For a Monday we hoped for a reasonable pace of play but it was more than 4.5 hours by a long way. This was our second visit in two weeks so we recommend checking it out. Beautiful older homes surround the course.
Pleasant surprise
Given past few years of reviews I was really happy. Course in great shape. Seriously, better signage in the parking lot
Lush Course, Smooth Pace, and Worth Every Dollar
Played here on October 28, 2025 as a single, got paired with a threesome. The ranger on the first tee did a great job keeping pace of play on track, and it was nice seeing the Ranger monitor the course throughout. Even with cart-path-only conditions, nine holes took less than two hours. The course was lush, green, and in great shape — definitely worth the $80. Only downside was some noise from nearby home construction, but overall, above average experience.
Overseed and how greens look October 2025
So I live this course although last year I had to stop playing it cause of how bad the greens got especially on holes 5 and 16. I played the course on Wednesday October 22nd I believe within a week after reopening from overseed. The course is in great condition the greens look great especially improved on hole t and 16. These is still way for improvement on 16 green on the back left side but compared to last year 200% better. As I don't write a lot of reviews figured people would want to read this if they visited Orange Tree in the past year to give it another go. I forgot to take photos otherwise I would have attached
Upward Trajectory
First off, the gentleman in the pro shop was super nice, which is a great way to get the day started. This course was in terrible shape last year and early this year but the new superintendent has things going in the right direction 100%. Just came out of overseas, so the fairways were just a little long as were the greens, but all of the grass, including the roof, is in excellent shape. In a week or two, this course will be 100% perfect. And just to be clear, we fully expected the fairways and greens to be a little long. Not an issue whatsoever.
Fun little track in good condition
Course recently reopened with winter grass. It was cart path only, but pace of play was still great, we played under four hours, with foursomes ahead of us. Marshalls did a great job monitoring everyone. Greens were in great condition, bunkers were a little wet. Overall, great value.
