Orange Tree Golf & Conference Resort
The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Getting ready for overseed
Always enjoy playing the Tree. Course is soon to be overseeded so greens are super slow and fairways dormant. Played fast.
Orange tree great- starter though a jerk
Loved the course , well kept up and the right challenge for my game. Trees are surprisingly not a real factor in the round but greens are challenging. The only downside was Lou the starter, he has a real bad attitude and when we asked if we could take an earlier slot, he said hand me your practice balls and get there now or I will just move you to later in day. No clue why our already 10am tee time was forfeited because we asked for an earlier one? Then he berated another guy for his partner being 5 min late. Lastly when we made the turn and walked up to the snack shack he says “I told you guys the shack was closed this morning, don’t you listen”. REALLY! Love the course, get rid of Lou.
Quick morning round.
Our threesome kept pace with the groups in front and behind us. Course in great shape for this time of year. Carol was. helpful. keeping everything moving. smoothly.
Course was green but over watered the 1st cut off the fairways was not existent. They don’t take care of the rough, it’s uneven full of weeds and pot holes. Bunker sand was inconsistent, some had sand some had mud. Don’t ask about the greens….soooo slow they had to be runnng 3 or 4 in the stint meter. I have played this course in the past and it was in much better shape. Don’t know what happened. Unless you don’t have anywhere else to play I would avoid this course.
First Time at Orange Tree - Excellent
Purchased via GolfNow. 11:52 a.m. tee time. About 100 to 105 degrees, but with a cart and plenty of cold water.
No one before or after us (self and spouse). Beautiful course in good condition. Will definitely play again.
The recent rains has really green it up from the tee boxes to the greens the course is in excellent shape!
New favorite placle
Awesome place to play. I don’t know why I go anywhere else. This will be my regular golf location.
Az summer Golf
In good shape for the middle of a very hot summer. Greens were a little rough as to be expected for this time of the year.
Greens in poor shape, to many places on greens without grass and few greens with Divots from Irons being hit off greens. Fairways & Tee Boxes in great shape
Really fun layout. A lot of big trees and a lot of shade. Reminded me of Midwest courses.
I gave 5 stars overall, because of the layout.
Plenty of room off the tee, and good variety. Multiple bunkers around most greens. 3 short par 5s and one long one.
Rough - not in great shape in some places, but...it's the rough. Great shape in some areas.
Greens - so so...maybe a 7/10 at best. Slow, and a good bit of dead areas, but playable.
Pace of play...holy you know what. Front 9 was great at 1:40ish...back 9 2:40ish. They were teeing off on 1 and 10, and they don't have a dang clue how to do it in my opinion. 3 groups on the tee at the turn, and 2 groups on almost every tee on the back. Ridiculous!
All in all, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Very fun and playable course...I guess I just need to remind myself that the back 9 pace is going to be garbage.
Great Value for summer
Great place, and friendly staff. Greens are a bit rough currently but that’s common in AZ this time of year! Still a great experience and will be coming back
For the middle of summer, the fairways & tee boxes were in pretty good condition. The greens were okay. Some were not in the best shape ---just okay. For the amount paid, I'd play again.
Greens were in the worst shape I've ever seen. Numerous brown dead spots! Fairways, roughs and tee boxes were extremely long and need mowed. The youngest ranger there hasn't got a clue how to manage golfers around the course! For two consecutive weeks a group was put in front of us while on the course. This case extremely slow play the rest of the day causing my team to finish 45 mins later than we should have. With the shape of the greens, they are charging far too much for green fees! It will be quite awhile before my two foursomes return to this course!
Not worth it
Greens are in very bad shape, tee boxes are terrible and whats up with putting groups out on the 1st and 10th? All it does is cause a backup once the front nine groups get to the 10th. Was hoping for more.
