Spectacular
I had put off playing this course because of the driving distance to get to it. Don't let that deter you. Go to it, play it and enjoy it! A very special course. The biggest distraction all day was when a herd (remuda) of horses was being moved through the wash right next to the hole we were on. The course is challenging but fair. Middle handicappers can score well here. It's not a typical desert, target course. Lush green fairways and plenty of rough to work with. There is trouble here and a poorly placed shot will put you in a one-stroke jail. There is a large difference in yardage between the playable tees for middle handicappers though, some 600+ yards. So check out the scorecard before you decide what set of tees to play. I thought the silvers actually played shorter than the 6500 yards on the card.
Fun course
Greens were FAST! 3 putting is a possibility on every green. But course was fun. Nice layout. Had a real "homey" feel to it. Its not slick and fancy like Quinterro or the Boulders, but a nice comfortable old school course. I enjoyed playing it.
Execellent
The course conditions were fabulous. The greens were lightning speed around a twelve and very consistent. We played as a twosome and let another twosome play through. The weather was in the mid seventies. It wasn't cart path only which is what I've been doing a lot lately. The worst thing that happened was people walking on the cart path to the right of number 10. I overcorrected and pulled my drive left of the fairway. It was a great day at my favorite course. Too bad it's an hour drive to get there.
Excellent Track
Excellent course, in great condition. Lightning fast greens. Will play again.
ALWAYS GREAT
los cab is one of my all time favorites, and I've played all over the U S. great course, great staff
hot deal of the year
Greens were fast, The layout was a challenge. Club house was beautiful. free range balls to get warmed up. Great Day of golf!
Genuinely Friendly Private Club
A genuine welcome awaits you at Los Caballeros. The staff is the epitome of customer service and friendliness.
The course was in beautiful condition and immaculately maintained. I really appreciated the elevation changes and extreme challenge of the greens.
Well worth the long drive for me.
an outstanding course
my wife and I agree this is one of nicest courses we played all year and have already told several of our friends to come play. Outstanding layout, great course conditions, the greens were fast and true. The staff was friendly and helpful. We live about an hour away and will play this course often.
excellent track
The course is fair / challenging at the same time if you choose the correct tees for your game.
Los Caballero
Our first experience with Los Caballero started with an exceptional experience with the staff in the pro shop. Guys who obviously love the game, and have that perfect balance of friendly and professional.
There was nothing wrong with this course that my being more on my game wouldn't have solved. Nice diversity in the holes. The greens were is excellent shape and lightning fast. I would like just a few more level greens. If you want to improve your reading and putting skills, this would be a great course to play on a regular basis. Plan to scratch a few extra stokes on the greens. Overall, this might well become my new home course when we return to Arizona to live.
Well worth the drive (55 min) really enjoyed experience
Very challenging yet fair, every hole seems unique especially with a lot of elevated greens which ran very true. Will be back soon !
Lighting greens
Great fall shape ... Green complexes very interesting ... But playable ... Elevation changes add lots of interest ... Good mix of longish and shortish holes ... With tees for everyone ... And the surrounding views not so bad either!
Always love Los Cab!
As always great round super service lovely place. Sure wish the golf course restaurant was open for dinner closes at 5. Not a lot of dinner options at dinner hour in Wickenburg.
Great lunch there thou, with free cookies !
Great track and in wonderful shape...greens were perfect...great round!!!!
Try it your like it
This is becoming my one of my favorite course's in Wickenberg. The course was in great shape and played in a little over 4 hrs. Had lunch at the grill. Just a great day with the guys. Looking forward to doing this again..
No ranger
Have played this course many times and really enjoy it. Great layout and almost always in terrific shape. Worth the 1 hour drive from Phoenix. This last time we played really soured us though. We had an extremely slow foursome in front of us that made play a 5 hour round. We almost had to quit early because we had one of us that needed to get back for a dinner party. A ranger would have been very helpful. It will be a while before we come back.
