Good round

The course got hit with some crazy storm as they had many trees down. Because of this we have to play the back 9 of the palms and the back 9 of the pine courses, which was fine. I thought the course was in fine shape for the dead of summer. The staff a McCormick is always not the friendliest compared to other courses, but they had a beverage cart running all round.

Eh

Fairways are nice and grassy, tee boxes and a few of the greens are pretty crappy. Standing water in almost every single bunker on the course.

Mckormick ranch

Course was in the worst shape I have ever seen it . I have played here over 100 times. The cart paths were like off roading, greens and fairways were already totally burnt out

Course conditions

I have played this course over 100 times. It has never been in worse condition. Greens were burned out badly. The cart paths are like off roading trails, fairways need a lot of work

First Time Impression

Course is in great shape except for the greens, the greens are very spotty and bumpy, no true roll

Been there, done that

Booked a tee time late afternoon for Palm, so we were surprised when we got there to find out we were playing the back 9 of palm and the back 9 of pine. The staff at the bag drop off was not overly friendly. They were very short with us and not overly welcoming.

The palm course is in really rough condition. The scenery is pretty, and as its namesake suggests, there are lots of palm trees. The pine course was in much better condition but still not the standard we have come to know in the Scottsdale area. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. Both courses offered challenging fairways and greens. Which was enjoyable and frustrating all at the same time. There was no cart girl (or guy) along either course at anytime, but we assumed it was because neither course was busy likely due to the heat and the fact that it was a Monday,

Unfortunately due to the experience with the staff, and the course conditions we probably will not return to play these courses again, and are not likely to recommend this course to friends or family coming down to the area.

This course is not worth the money

Fairways were bad, greens bad. This course is not worth the money. There is better courses to play in the area for less money. Half the greens are dead and fairways are in terrible shape.

Unplayable and very over priced

Course condition is terrible. Greens are unplayable and will cause additional strokes. Fairways ok but large patches of dead grass and dry dirt. Paid $109 green fee which for the condition is outrageous

Horrible Experience

The course starter will send groups off at least 10 minutes earlier than your tee time even if your entire group isn't present. Had to start on the 2nd hole and the course didn't care when I brought it up to them.

DO NOT PLAY

Course was in very bad shape. Barely any grass on the greens, mostly sand. Bunkers have standing water in over half the holes. Fairways have wet spots and theres renovations sand/dirt areas throughout the course. For $100 you can play some of the best courses in Arizona in the summer but this was a joke. Maybe worth $30-40. Honestly, Kokopelli’s golf course is better than this and thats saying something. Save your money and pick a different course.

Do Not Play

Just finished McCormick Ranch Pine and Palm. Have never seen the course in worse shape. Greens are almost unputtable. Dry dead grass the ball bounces the whole time on the green. Fairways are in decent shape but several holes had huge dead spots. The most egregious thing is the $109 green fee. With no warning and seeing how the greens are, this course is no where near a $100 morning tee time. Suggest avoiding this course for at least the summer. Much better money spent elsewhere.

Rough shape

Played the Pine front 9 and the Palm back 9. Appears both 9’s are being “let go” as they are summer scalping/overseeding the other 9’s. Very bumpy greens with sparse grass on some of them; especially 18th hole on Palm which was almost bare. Did get cheap time, and whipped around in just under 3 hours. Didn’t really mind it because of the cost and time commitment. Just be prepared for the conditions.

Greens are horrible

As the title says, the greens were completely unplayable on the front nine. Punched. Sanded. And Dead. What little green there was was just bumpy crap knocking the ball every way. Back 9 hasn’t undergone their lovely treatment so it was still in good shape, but I’d anticipate that they will be ruined as soon as they’re done with the front
