About Resorts at Ventana Canyon: Loews and The Lodge
Tucson's Ventana Canyon development is home to a residential community and membership, 36 holes of Tom Fazio-designed golf, and two, four-star lodging properties, the Loews Ventana Canyon and The Lodge at Ventana Canyon. The Loews Ventana Canyon is the larger of the two with 398 guest rooms and suites, multiple dining areas and pools, including an adults-only pool. It also has four lighted tennis courts and a spa to go along with multiple dining concepts from fine to bar and casual. The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is smaller with just 50 suites that feature kitchenettes and oversized living areas. The Lodge has its own dining room for casual fare, the Catalina Dining Room, as well as its own pool and spa. Poor service, great course
No cart service or water on course on a hot Sunday morning. No help with clubs after the round. Had to walk up about 24 stairs.
Great course, just expected better service for the $$.
Love this course
This course is always in excellent shape. It's a tad pricey, but going through GolfPass+ saved me a bunch of money. Thank you Ventana for an excellent golf course!
Very nice course in great condition
Would still play here, just know ahead of time they are not very friendly. We ate lunch in the golf clubhouse and one of the waiters told our waiter to not wait on us Right in front of us. Maybe my skin is too brown
What a difference between the front and back
The front’s fairways were superb.....Greens were the FASTEST I’ve EVER putted......Back 9 fairways were sub-par. Greens MUCH slower.....Grn super should ‘match’ front to back.
Smooth and green
Course is in great shape, nobody there on Wednesday at 11:00 tee time, no one behind us for 15 holes, like your own private course. Good value for the money at $76.
The black boxes have some of the best elevated and tucked away starts to holes you can find. Greens are lightning
Love the course, not in great shape
Always love the course and the layout is a challenge but the course was in need of a lot of TLC around the greens
Beautiful course
I just loved the golf course we played at Ventana Canyon, I believe the Canyon Course. The mountains and really just the whole area is really beautiful. The course was a blast. It was tough, but it was fair. Great experience !
Quick recovery
Staff had the courses in great shape considering they had a deluge of rain and very significant flash flooding the day before I played. The course was wet and soft which made it play a little more easily. Still pretty difficult. The course was truly pristine for late July in Southern Arizona. It is a great place. Especially December through March!
Disappointed
Played the Canyon course today after hearing how the Mountain course was in such great shape. Less than impressive, greens were recently plugged and need atleast 2-3 weeks to get better. Fairways were marginal.
Great course
Greens were trop dressed recently..still had some sand but course was very nice. Staff were great..course great..definitely will play again.

Really an unfair review. Club service and water on course is all part of COVID restrictions, same as here in CA. I've played Ventana 4 times, both sides, and it is simply brilliant in my opinion. The price is easily justified by the course conditions.
