Ventana Canyon Mountain Course
The course was in great condition. The fairways and greens looked great. The greens are always very challenging. Some of the fairways can be narrow. One of the best courses I've played in Tucson.
One of My Favorites
I live in Tucson and have played Ventana's Mountain and Canyon courses many times. I've also played most of the others in the area and both of Ventana's courses are among my favorites. The views are terrific, the holes are challenging, but the tees allow ample adjustment for skill levels, and the courses are almost always in very good condition. I would note, however, that I play mostly in the summer when the rates are down as these courses get expensive and crowded in the winter. Still, if you are a winter visitor, I'm pretty sure you will like these two courses.
We appreciate the thorough review and look forward to seeing you again next time!
Fantastic views and variety
This course was fantastic to play. Greens were fast but smooth. We played the canyon course. I would play this again for sure
Thanks for leaving us a review, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Great condition
But for some new patches by some of the greens, everything was immaculate.
Staff can be a tad indifferent to non-members I believe.
Otherwise, it was wonderful.
Thanks for leaving us a review, sredpath. We hope to see you back at Ventana Canyon again soon!

Phenomenal experience
The course is in immaculate condition, you can’t find a dry spot on the fairway nor rough, even if you try. Tee boxes are well maintained, layout is challenging with tough bunkers. From the moment you drop-off your clubs, to the practice area, to the 18 hole; there isn’t a way to improve the experience. I highly recommend this course and will be definitely going back.
Thanks for leaving us a review, Velasquez! We look forward to seeing you again next time.
Excellent Conditions!
Ventana Canyon is a great place to play in summer. More often than not in great shape, today was excellent. The greens are FAST, and the layout is fairly tough. You pay $150 in winter, so playing this time of year for $30 is an absolute steal. Pace of play can be a little slow, but who cares when the surroundings are gorgeous and the golf course is excellent? The course was in fantastic condition - well done, Ventana Canyon!
Thanks for leaving us a review, we're glad you enjoyed your time at Ventana Canyon. Come see us again soon!
Great course
Course was in amazing shape. Easy enough for the average golfer. It’s a little confusing to get around the canyon course but the views make it worth it.
We're glad you enjoyed your time with us, thanks for leaving us a review!
Nice course in perfect condition
Very Nice at this Time of the year. Perfect condition from the tee box too the Green.
Thanks for leaving us a review, come see us again soon!
Excellent
Very good layout with great views. Greens were in excellent shape, fairways had some areas with no grass, which is to be expected this time of the year. Overall an excellent experience once you figure out where the golf shop is located. This is without a doubt one of, if not the best course in Tucson.
Hi KJG, thanks for leaving us a review. We hope to see you again soon!
Great Day
Great Day at Ventana Canyon golf course, pace of play was right under 4 hours.

Ventana Canyon
Just moved to the Tucson area a couple of months ago. Obviously, very hot here in the summer, so I’ve been playing some courses that are out of my budget during the rest of the year. Ventana Canyon is my favorite so far. I played the Mountain Course. Very playable,, although I am a senior citizen and played from the silver tees. Fairways are being aerated and greens have been sanded, so didn’t get to see how the greens might have been under normal conditions. People very friendly and accommodating. Course rate was very good, but then again it was 105 degrees out there. I will definitely play the course again, and recommend it to anyone.
We're glad you enjoyed the course, JPB. Thanks for leaving us a review! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Rude staff
One of the cart boys is super rude every time. He talks to me extremely disrespectfully every time .
Hi nevets, we're very sorry to hear that. We'd like to discuss this with you in more detail, so please give us a call at 520-577-1400. Thank you.
Thanks for the review! We hope to see you again soon.

Pack a lunch!
Took five and a half hours to play. Ranger didn't seem concerned with pace of play.
Hi Engineer, we're sorry to hear pace of play wasn't quite up to our usual standards. If you'd like to speak with someone in the Pro Shop about your experience, please give us a call at (520) 577-1400. We hope to see you again soon!
One of the best
Difficult course to play the first time due to the travel distances between some of the holes but the course was in excellent condition other than a couple of thin spots in some fairways. The greens were smooth, rolled true and very quick. Overall a very very nice course.
We're glad you enjoyed your time with us, David. Be sure to book another round at Ventana Canyon soon!
