About The Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale

Located in Carefree just north of Scottsdale is the Boulders Resort, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton. This 1,200-acre resort and community features striking, millions-year-old boulder formations and two, 18-hole golf courses that encircle them. The resort is a village compound with spacious casitas with private balconies, as well as a handful of villas and homes for rent. The golf club features two courses, the North and South, as well as a driving range and golf academy. Boulders is well known for its Golden Door Spa with 33,000 square feet and 24 treatment rooms, plus a wide variety of fitness classes and programming. There are five dining concepts, highlighted by the Spotted Donkey Cantina, well known locally for its Mexican fare. The beauty and tranquility of the Sonoran Desert is on full, luxurious display at the Boulders Resort.

Aerated Greens

Course was decent tee to green but the greens had been recently aerated and poorly sanded. Impossible to putt and enjoy a round.

Do not go until at least June 1st

Our aerification schedule is North course is done May 10-16 and South course May 17-23. We do our best to make sure this is communicated when tee times are made either online or by calling the golf shop. Course conditions are not good, bunkers are very bad, grass is stressed and looks like it will be a big problem real soon.

There is a short time period when valley golf courses transition from winter Rye grass back to the summer Bermuda grass and our rates reflect this transition period. Beautiful Course

Played the South course today. It is a beautiful place. Course was in great shape. Greens were good but fast. Pins were in tough positions. I would play here every day. Highly recommend it.

this course is one of the kind.

this course has great layout. every hole has different t shot. the boulders are amazing. course condition is great. the green is true roll. too bad the marshal pushing us because took some picture but no group were behind us. we still finish the round in 4 hours.
