I like Tubac
I really like Tubac. But this time rough was extremely high, a lot of people working and making a lot of noise and the lady with the drinks car just showed once. I got a little disappointed of this great course.
Tubac exciting
Super course, great service, friendly staff. Course in great condition and the greens were perfect.
Quiet and quaint
We love everything about the golf club at Tubac the people are so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bar are fun and the service and friendliness of the staff is amazing!! You will love it!!
Tubac is a hidden gem
The course and the resort are fantastic. Everybody very friendly! Been coming here for years and it keeps getting better and better.
Fantastic Course
This was my first time playing Tubac, but, it will not be my last. We played two of the three courses and they were in fantastic shape. The course is challenging, yet, forgiving for a new golfer like me. My husband, and friends are all really good golfers and they all loved it. Tubac is a very relaxing and peaceful course. The setting is gorgeous, with tree lined holes and a river running through it. We of course enjoyed "The Tin Cup" hole, be sure to look for the plaque.
The staff was extremely friendly and made our day really special.
It is worth the drive from Tucson to play this gem of a golf course.
Very nice course and excellent location
Tubac Golf Resort is a excellent track in a beautiful location.. The course is fair to all types of golfers and was in good shape.. I golfed this was some relatives and friends and everyone enjoyed themselves.. If I would have any complaint it would be the sand traps.. Not sure what type of sand they use but plays some what different then most.. The greens are true and in most cases seemed fairly quick.. The course is in a beautiful location with some great views of the mountains. The facilities are in excellent shape plus it has a wonderful restaurant (Stables) for relaxing with good food and drinks.. This course was where part of the movie Tin Cup was filmed.. Can be a little pricey certain times of the year..
Tubac is magic
I try to play Tubac each year, but haven't made it down for over 3 years. What was I waiting for. Always worth the trip!!
Tubac always offers a great golf day. I played in the cooler weather of the morning. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The fairways were ample wide, a nice contrast from most of the Arizona desert courses. The greens were newly aerated, but decent growth had already occurred so they were minimally bumpy. Thank you Tubac and Golf Now for providing the alert so I knew what to expect too.
The Anza and Otero combination offers a fairly easy course if you play a patient course management game. I was hoping to play the famed Ranchero 9, but it wasn't in the draw for today. I'm looking forward to my next round at Tubac, which I'll play as soon as I get time.
Greens
Overall course was in great in great shape. The greens had recently been punched. Putting was a bit on the bumpy side, but overall this wasn't to bad after adjusting to these conditions. We got a good bang for the $$$$$. Hope to play it again.
Quaint course -- no elevation changes
This is a nice, quaint course to play. It is worth the 45 minutes to travel south on I-19 from Tucson. The day we played the greens were going through aerification on Memorial Day 2017. There isn't any elevation change, but the mature vegetation and ample water hazards make it a pleasant day on the course. This isn't strictly a desert course as there are many trees that are situated in and around the golf course. It is part of a housing community that is integrated into the course. Several of my putts pulled up short after seemingly being on line. The clubhouse desk staff charged an extra $20 for a 7 year old non-player to ride along with a friend. Next time I'll book 2 separate single rounds in different names to get that extra cart. No complaints with the course which is an old, established course with existing home sites around it. There is lots of new construction going on as well. The clubhouse and restaurant buildings are finishing in the western, adobe style. There is an outdoor patio area at the restaurant for eating outside. We didn't eat there although the restaurant layout looked inviting. The area around Tubac has lots of history including an old mission. It is where the Spanish explorer Lt. Colonel Juan Bautista de Anza began his journey in Tubac in 1775 leading more than 240 men, women, and children some 1,800 miles to establish a settlement at San Francisco Bay. There a nice nearby area to poke around and do some shopping if you have the time. There is a yearly arts festival in the town of Tubac. Going back north on I-19 there is a US Border patrol temporary check point. There was only a 12 car back up and we were through it in minutes.
One of my favorite course to play
It was in great shape!!! Greens where spot on. You can work the ball well, T boxes great shape
fair ways very nice
I would play this course once a week if I was able>>
Play and Stay...for dinner
We've made the trek to Tubac on several occasions.
A very different course with a beautiful sylvan setting.
After a casual 3 1/2 hour round, we stayed for dinner before driving back to Tucson and home. By the way, if your ball should come to rest in one of the "cow pies," you get a free lift...wipe and place, but no closer to the cow or the hole!
The only thing I didn't like about the course was leaving when I was done. Certain to play it again and again and again.
course good, restaurant bad
The golf course was in excellent shape. Greens are fast and true. The problem was the restaurant. I was there for a golf outing, and the restaurant did not have enough tables and chairs for everyone in the outing. I had to get my own chair from another room and add myself to a table. And not once did a server come up to me and ask me if I wanted to order a drink or a meal, even though I sat there for a least a half hour! They don't know how to handle large groups here. Enjoy the golf but eat some p;lace else.
