green conditions Photo submitted by u000003377470 on 10/21/2019
After Overseed-okay
Overseed is done, cart path only(played on 10/14). Can be a bit of a walk if you’re way off the cart path. Staff was great! Most tee boxes green grass, couple with just sand. Fairways ok with a couple areas of standing water, most bunkers were puddles/mud/wet sand. Greens a bit shaggy and slow, normal right now. Pace of play a bit slower due to cart path only. Seems they finally finished the ladies restroom at the turn and noticed a few other clean ups! 👍 I’d say improved!
Slow, no water
Saturday pace of play was almost 5 hours. Cart path only. All water jugs were empty, called pro shop and they delivered a single bottle of water. No cart girl. Every hole was backed up for at least 10 minutes. Course was in fine shape.
Pace of play is worst issue
A little below average course for the valley. No range to adequately warm up but nice putting area. The true issue was the starter sending a number of groups one after the other and no marshal to keep pace of play ion pace. Lots of sitting around waiting for slow players is not the way to manage a course.
After over seed
Course was in great condition considering over seeding was just completed, greens were a little slow but in great shape considering. Staff was great
Skip until winter
Cart path only, informed after booking and paying even though they clearly had it that way and didn’t post anything about it.
Super wet.
Super over grown.
Waste of 65 dollars, woulda have just went to range.
Also, tried to make the single ride in our carts with our 3 some which caused us to tee off late only for us to go out without him because he showed up AT our tee time with a rider he didn’t pay for in advance. Just a total mess, go anywhere else right now.
Great course
Always fun very accommodating staff. Course is ready for winter grass.
Needed alert warning
When tee time booked, no alert warning was indicated on website. Showed up and paid and THEN the gentleman outside (ranger) said “Lots of maintenance people working to strip fairways for overseeding in few days. Very little grass in fairways so you will likely move ball around to find patches of grass. But greens are good.”
At least 5 greens had circular rows of grass clippings still on them. On 1 hole, I was about 15 yards off the green and was addressing the ball when a mower cutting fringe of green drove right in front of me.
I’m familiar with prep work for overseeding. We would have played some where else had the course put out an alert warning and returned to play this course later this year. My playing partner doesn’t plan to come back.
