Painted Mountain Golf Club

About
The Painted Mountain Golf Club is a challenging desert-style course with a variety of different tees to accommodate every age group and skill level. The course offers a lengthier challenge from the first hole, a par-5 dogleg right, to the last, which requires an approach shot over water in order to reach the green. The Painted Mountain Golf Club, in addition to the course, is also home to the John Jacob's Golf School.

Slow, slow, slow
This course has tee times spaced 7 minutes apart, which is ridiculous. Somehow they had double booked our tee time, then squeezed us in. By the second hole (a par three) there were four groups waiting on the tee box, and it didn't improve much through the afternoon. Several greens had bad spots, yet they chose to put the hole in the middle of these areas, which made putting accurately impossible. We teed off at 1:30 and played the last two holes in the dark. Never again.
Nice staff, extremely average course.
Upon arrival for our 1:15 tee time, we were made aware there was a 2 hour delay due to a frost delay that morning. We were visiting from out of town, so therefore did not have a car, so we pretty much had to just sit in the restaurant and wait two hours before we could go out. We stayed on the course for 3 hours (left at 4:45) and only got 10 holes in. The course is links style, but in my opinion, not worth the price tag. Fairways weren’t in great shape. Pace of play was bad. There was groups of 5-6 out there in front of my group of 3 and no starter to help us play through. There are nicer links course in the area for similar rates.
Great Day
Enjoyed playing the course. Conditions were quite good. Tee boxes were not great but I suspect it’s due to high volume of play. I would play here again.
Good value for money
Wish the weather was better, but the course was in good shape and we liked the layout. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this course.
Painted
Would not recommend this course for an avid golfer!! Needs TLC
I don’t know what has happened over the past year or so but the course is in horrible shape Dead fairways grass and half dead greens made for a very long day at the price was incredibly high for this track
Short course
not a bad little course. but course was packed three groups on par threes. but still finished in okay time.
Painted Mountain Golf Cout
It was our first and probably last visit to this course. We arrived and were checked in quickly. We teed off early as a number of people canceled their times. Our bags were not loaded on the cart, the cart was dirty and seats were soaked from the rain the night before. The course was in terrible condition. The tee boxes in mostly void of grass and were full of divots. The fairways were somewhat ok but the grass had obviously not been mowed for awhile and watch out for the goose droppings. The sand pits were unkept and contained a lot of rock. The greens had many dead spots making putting difficult. We were quite disappointed with the conditions of the course. We definitely expected more for the money being charged.
Great course
We hoped to squeeze in 18 holes when visiting relatives. This course was pretty busy, but the pace of play was good. Friendly staff helped get us set up. I’d play there again.
