Incredible Day at Whirlwind
Me and two buddies played today. The course was perfect. Everybody from the bag drop to the starter were very nice. The course was in wonderful shape.
Great course
there seem to be more maintenance crew on the course this time and it was annoying & distracting. The guy mowing the tee boxes just kept mowing when were teeing off. One water hole they were working on something along the edge of the water with a very loud piece of equipment, and they didn’t stop when we were on the green. One time they were mowing behind the tee boxes, mostly dirt, and it was windy. We had dirt blowing in our faces. They did stop when we teed off, but it was a short par 3 & they started up once we left the tee box. With the wind blowing pretty hard we got a lot of dirt blown at us. (This was 2 months ago on a day that had 20-30mph winds. I realize they have a job to do, but they need to be more aware of the golfers.
Great experience
As always, we are never disappointed. The course is in immaculate shape, and we enjoy the view and the layout of the course. Highly recommended to anyone who’s looking for a change in scenery.
Always a good day
There are so many tracks to play out here and yet, I always end up a whirlwind.. specially Devil's claw. I prefer it a bit over cat tail but both are awesome. It's just my favorite course in the Phoenix area and I have played many.
The course is always in great shape. Hats off to the greens crew.
I wish I was a better golfer so I could score better but I never regret playing here. I enjoyed my round so much I bought the "Whirlwind +" membership.
Obviously I'll be back as often as I am able.
Value
Course is nice and in good shape overall… compares to other high end courses in Valley Of The Sun…. However, price is high at $250 per per person.
Whirlwind golf
My wife and I had a very enjoyable day on the course.
A day at Whirlwind
My wife and I were able to play by ourselves however the course wasn’t terribly busy so not a lot of waiting and not a lot of pressure from the group behind us. This, the weather and the course conditions made for an enjoyable day.
Immaculate course!
This course was by far the best of all on our golf trip, fairways, greens, and rough were perfect! Bunkers were deep and very challenging! Staff was very friendly and the club house was excellent. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a great round of challenges. Only complaint I have is our golf cart kept dying on the cart path while telling us we were in an banned area
Bea
I have been lucky to play some great tracks in several states. Whirlwind is still in my top 5. I have played this track a dozen times, perhaps more and our never disappoints.
Week after LPGA
Luv this course. Conditions were excellent. Especially after the LPGA came through. Greens ran true, fairways were carpet like, though some bunkers were a bit sparse for sand, the rest were awesome if you hit them. Luv Cattail.
