Wild Horse Pass is a 2,700-acre development on the Gila River Indian tribal community grounds with two separate hotels that are a partner of the 36-hole Whirlwind Golf Club, home to the Devil's Claw and Cattail courses as well as a full practice facility. The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is a 500-room, AAA Four-Diamond resort that features an Aji Spa with private pool and cafe and a Forbes Five-Star-award restaurant. Activities include four pools, one of which has a 111-foot waterslide, or enjoy the tribal terrain with horseback riding or trail rides. Particularly unique to the Phoenix-Scottsdale Sonoran Desert is Wild Horse Pass's marina with boat rentals on the Gila River. There is a Sheraton Adventure Club for kids with a full slate of guided activities. For casino gaming, guests can access the nearby Gila River Hotel & Casino at Wild Horse Pass, which has a 100,000 square-foot casino with live table games and live events from comedy to music shows at a 1,400-set venue.Facts

Both are great tracks . Always in great shape and my favorites in the desert
Cart Path Only
I love this course And was aware that we were playing 2 weeks ahead of the LPGA event. What I didn’t expect was cart path only. I’m 75 and cart path only in 88 degree heat was brutal. Golf now indicated NOTHING about cart path only restrictions on either the booking page or the confirmation page. Folks at the course indicated that it was cart path only for the whole month and that your confirmation email should have indicated that. Problem is if booked through golf now the course does not send a confirmation email it just shows confirmed in your GN account. Also was a 5 hour round -of course due to cart path only .
CART PATH only!! Was not notified of this prior to arrival. VERY SLOW play due to LPGA qualifier or ?? in front of us. VERY DISSAPOINTED. Traveled from WA to play and no fun. Running all over the course because of cart path only. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for experience!
Vaca Golf
Last day of quick trip…Good course & weather…we were disappointed about the fact cart path only was not up front as we’ve seen before in “course notes” in red with other bookings
Great track but slow pace
It took 5 hours to play and the marshall did nothing to speed up the two slow groups in front of us.
Terrible slow play
Four groups on one hole and when I mentioned it they simply said “Yeah, we are full up”. Ok, look. Either someone is playing REALLY slow or you are stuffing tee times too close together to make money at ridiculous rates. It’s a shame because these are decent layouts. The LPGA was coming and man I’ll bet those lady pros are gonna hate the bunkers. I’m a 6 handicap so I’m not just blabbering. Do better, you used to.
Whirlwind
Whirlwind Devils Claw was a spectacular course. Greens and Tee boxes in great shape, staff was very kind and helpful. Will play again.
