Wild Horse Pass is a 2,700-acre development on the Gila River Indian tribal community grounds with two separate hotels that are a partner of the 36-hole Whirlwind Golf Club, home to the Devil's Claw and Cattail courses as well as a full practice facility. The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass is a 500-room, AAA Four-Diamond resort that features an Aji Spa with private pool and cafe and a Forbes Five-Star-award restaurant. Activities include four pools, one of which has a 111-foot waterslide, or enjoy the tribal terrain with horseback riding or trail rides. Particularly unique to the Phoenix-Scottsdale Sonoran Desert is Wild Horse Pass's marina with boat rentals on the Gila River. There is a Sheraton Adventure Club for kids with a full slate of guided activities. For casino gaming, guests can access the nearby Gila River Hotel & Casino at Wild Horse Pass, which has a 100,000 square-foot casino with live table games and live events from comedy to music shows at a 1,400-set venue.Facts

Sunday Round, good pace.
Pace moved well for a Sunday. Greens are in good shape and very fast. Course is in good shape.
New Day
Course was in great shape but pace of play was poor.
Fun Couse but slow going
I love this course but we had a 4some in front of us that seemed to take enjoyment in playing slow and mocking the people waiting behind them. The group in front of us skipped one hole to get in front of these people. 1st 9 was 1 1/2 Hours 2nd 9 was 2 Hours and 45 Minutes. Just need to marshal better to speed them up.
elevated greens
. Challenging because majority of green are elevated , surround by Velcro fringe, and protected by multi tier levels.. Not the most fun unless you play it regularly .
Five Stars!
This is one of the premier courses in the area. It’s a fabulous design and is in great condition despite being in transition to summer grass. Tees, greens, and fws are exceptional. Even the bunkers are well-maintained! Highly recommend.
Another great day on the course
Cattail never disappoints. It's always well-groomed. Greens are always in great shape. The bunkers will challenge your accuracy, and there are a LOT of them. Overall, it's always a great experience out there. Mid-May is a great time to play. Not too hot and the summer rates are in effect.

This course is always in great shape . The staff is great and they always make you feel welcome .
One of Our Favorites
Four of us having Ben coming to Az do six years now. We play about four courses every year and have only repeated Raven as we like it so much. We have now agreed that we like this devils claw course even more and will be replaying it each year. So scenic and well maintained. It didn’t look easy but we all scored better than we would have expected. Great staff. It was just a joy to play.

Very nice golf course, well maintained, friendly staff, player assistants were very helpful. Pace was great.
I would golf this one again.
