Yeah I am that guy. Missed the fairway, got frustrated and totally missed on my next shot. Friends took a photo for proof. Photo submitted by currdog7 on 12/27/2012
The course was in great shape
The course was nice green and the greens in great shape well maintained will be back
No Drink Cart, Snack Bar or Drinking Water on the course. We had to drive to restaurant at the turn, pretty inconvenient and then the Marshall complained that we were taking too long.
Worth The Drive
Teleli is a big beautiful course located up in the foothills of Sonora. It’s almost always in good shape. Greens are slick and undulated, and the layout is spectacular with lots of rolling hills, doglegs and zero homes on the property. It’s just you, a cool course and nature. It’s a fun track. Tee’d off at 2pm for $45 (w/cart).
Highly Recommend!
Had a great time playing this course. Challenging lay-out, lots of blind shots over hills. Only improvement opportunity was that course was dry and sparse around the edges of the fairways. Otherwise, highly recommend!
Nice course with a cart.
Nice course. Especially on a mild day.
Definitely need a cart, very steep in places.
Sand traps could use some love, there was grass sprouting in several of them.
Will play again.
Golf day
Staff was very good. Food was great and employees at the restaurant were excellent. Greens were in good shape. Some of the bunkers were like hitting off dirt-had to move ball to find sand. Rating would have been much higher if pace if play was monitored. Group in front of us had 3 carts with 2 paid players. Some holes all 6 would hit multiple balls as most were non players. 2 holes on the back 9 took 30 minutes each to play.
Did not see a marshal all day.
Challenging Round
Teleli is quite a challenging course with a very interesting layout. The setting is quite scenic. The pace was a little slow but ok. It is rather remote and the roads getting there are kind of rough but it is worth the drive.
Staff would have been 5 Stars
Chris is the friendliest guy at any course I’ve ever been to, the only reason the course doesn’t get 5 stars in that category is Lance the “pro” is a dick. Course looks good restaurant / bar needs to stay open longer
Wonderful experience
At first I was a little skeptical because of a recent review stating how bad the course conditions were and I'm glad I have it a shot. The course was in beautiful shape, the views of the foothills were quite pleasing, the fairways and greens were in great shape.
The only negative was when I tried to use the bathroom before leaving for the day the bar and restaurant were locked up and it was just after 400. Not sure what time they closed but 400 seems a but early. I was looking forward to sitting on the patio and having a drink and snack before heading off
I'm definitely going to play this course again by its a bit pricey compared to other courses on here.
