Pace of play was abominable.
The "pace of play" was extremely slow. At one point four groups were backed up at the tee. I actually quit after nine because I refused to play at a more than a five hour pace of play. It was impossible to enjoy the round when one had to wait at length between shots. Pace of play does not describe the condition because there was no PACE to the play.
Very well kept clubhouse and range, course layout is straightforward but the back nine is a bit more challenging. Pace of play on a Saturday is slow but that’s normal for a perfect weather weekend so can’t complain about that. super friendly and helpful pro shop and player services staff. snack shop employee practically demanded a tip for putting a hot dog on a bun. Starter was rude.
Overall good experience can’t expect perfection would recommend for a fun afternoon weekday!
Great course
Greens excellent, bunkers good, tee boxes need care, bit of water for no rain. Drainage?
Green are messed up
I've been playing here for 14 years. I've never seen the greens or any greens in the condition these greens were in. Soggy and muddy. Caused by over watering. They will all need to be replace. Sorry to say this as this is my home course.
1st tee time of day still waiting....
first off ,
lost the 1st 2 holes due to due to dark / wet
Got to hole 10 and waited every hole for the 9 hole championship.play nine holes take 4 hours lining up everything.
wake up at 8am and slow the course down
i woke up at 430 am to wait....
more money , slow golf, greens in horrible shape
5 hour golf
so slow my group quit at hole 17.....
play here if you have a day to burn and $100 bucks .
to wait ......
Fix the Tee Boxes please!!
Tee boxes 14 of 18 are pretty much dirt and crabgrass, but mostly dirt. The rest of the course is OK, green pretty good, fairways good, bunkers are concrete.
Links at Lakehouse
Like the layout. Over watered immediate rough not cut due to overwatering
CS
I’ve played this course many times before and the course is usually in good condition. The practice facilities are nice and conveniently located . The staff in the pro-shop and snack bar were all super welcoming and friendly. The snack bar, however, had a limited menu due to tournament.
The only negative was playing behind a tournament. It took 5 1/2 hours to finish!.
Poor experience
We had employees of the links that played behind us who hit the ball directly at us while we were on the green. This was a very poor experience. Our tee time started at 1:15 and we did not complete the around until after 6 pm because of waiting 10 min to tee off every hole. This was on Monday... very unfortunate golf experience to say the least.
Overall nice course but the greens were in bad shape
Lots of soggy spots. Need to get some of the water issues resolved. Greens were spotty.
Nice for the price
I’m not going to rehash all of the negative stuff like the tee boxes and slow play. This is an executive course and that’s where novices like to play. Get over yourselves. I thought the layout was pretty good and I was able to use a variety of clubs. Greens were very receptive and faster than I’m used to in Arizona. Bunkers could use some work but fortunately I was only in one. Staff was very good. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. If you’re going to walk, there are a lot of up and down slopes. Take that into consideration when you check in. Overall a fun course.
A lot of grounds under repair…
There was a lot of grounds under repair, and the cart path was extremely bumpy at times. Greens were in fair condition. Overall a fun course to play despite the lack luster conditions.
Course is a good executive round
Decent conditions and pace of play exceeded 3 hours. 2 hours front 9; 1:15 back 9. A slow group stopped for lunch, thank goodness
Rating
Tee boxes need to better maintained and you could use a course ranger to move play along.
